New Pals aren’t limited to the early game (Palworld 1.0: The 8 best new Pals for the early game) or the mid game (Palworld 1.0: The 8 best mid-game Pals with locations and skills) —you’ll also find plenty of fresh creatures toward the end that you can catch and put to work. Here we focus on Pals you can still encounter in earlier regions. These Pals are between level 40 and 65, making them perfect for team building and base building ahead of the game’s final challenge. As always, we’ve put together a varied mix based on what each Pal does best.

New late-game Pals in Palworld 1.0 and where to find them

Pierdon in the late game: location, combat stats, and mining in Palworld

The first Pal we want to highlight is Pierdon. You’ll find it far to the north on Firevein Isle, in Thirst Dunes Bay. It’s level 42, making it a solid entry point into the second half of the game. There’s also a matching Alpha Boss waiting there.

In combat, Pierdon holds its own. All stats are above 100, with 120 defense. Its Partner Skill makes you deal 50 to 65% more damage to Pals that are “Soiled.” Pierdon is a thoroughbred Ground Pal. At your base it can Mining Lvl. 5, though that’s its only work suitability. A good pick for specialized fights or focused base tasks.

Carnibora location and skills: tornado attacks and base work

A Pal we can truly recommend is Carnibora. This elegant plant can only be found in the third Sanctuary at the northern end of the map and is level 45. It doesn’t just look beautiful—it’s useful in many areas. In combat, Carnibora summons tornadoes when you dodge and roll. These hit enemies for 40 to 80 Grass damage.

Carnibora also shines at your base. It offers Planting Lvl. 6, Handiwork, Gathering Lvl. 4, and Transporting Lvl. 2. That makes it a great agriculture Pal that can help with all kinds of tasks. Especially handy on a server. Rent an affordable Palworld server for multiplayer with friends.

Dualith in Palworld: best resource collector for base and combat

Dualith is a fascinating Pal made of large rectangular blocks with a kind of spirit core inside. You can find it at level 46 at the foot of the Spectral Pinnacles, so you won’t have to travel far to catch it. It’s a Ground/Grass type, closely tied to nature. Its Partner Skill lets you ride it as a mount—not particularly worthwhile—and fire a Grass laser beam in combat. Like Pierdon, it has high defense.

Where Dualith truly excels is in work. It has Mining and Transporting Lvl. 6 and Lumbering Lvl. 5—perfect for gathering materials. It also has Gathering and Planting Lvl. 3.

Woolipop Terra: caramel cotton candy for Special Cake and breeding

At first glance, this chocolatey, dog-like Pal doesn’t seem all that useful. It’s the Ground variant of the already known Woolipop, which can produce cotton candy at a ranch. That’s exactly why Woolipop Terra is so important.

It produces caramel cotton candy, which you need to craft the new Special Cake. This increases the chance to pass Passive Skills on to offspring during breeding. The cotton candy is also used for nutrient drinks that suppress hunger in Pals. You can catch Woolipop Terra from level 55 on Suncrest Isle, west of Sakurajima.

Bulldosu location on Sakurajima: counter to Electric and base work

Bulldosu is one of the few new Pals you can find on Sakurajima. You’ll encounter it at level 53 around the Cherry Blossom Shrine. It’s Ground type again, though not quite as strong as Dualith or Pierdon. Still, it has some interesting tricks. It serves as a mount, albeit a slow one.

Bulldosu is handy against Electric Pals, as it reduces enemy attack power by 15 to 30% and makes all Pals on your team immune to “Electrified.” That’s useful when you know what you’re up against. At your base it can handle Mining and Transporting, though by this point you’ll likely have better options.

Prixter Lux level 65: Electric-Ground Pal with strong player buffs

With version 1.0, Prixter received a Lux variant that just fits our criteria for this list. You can find Prixter Lux at level 65 on Sandstone Gate Isle, one of the new islands scattered across the ocean around Palpagos Island. It’s not easy to catch, but worth the trip.

As an Electric-Ground Pal, it offers an interesting type combination and high attack. Its Partner Skill imbues you, the player, with the Electric element and further boosts your attacks by 30 to 50%. That’s extremely strong, especially against Water Pals. At your base it can do Generating Electricity, Gathering, Lumbering, and Medicine Production. A unique mix.

Smokie Cryst location: best cooling Pal for your storage

While you can find regular Smokie almost everywhere on Feybreak, the ice variant is rarer. You’ll need to head back out to sea and visit the Isle of Icy Ruins. There you’ll find Smokie Cryst at level 62. It’s less worthwhile in combat, but as a cooling Pal for your storage it’s unbeatable.

It only has Cooling Lvl. 2, but you can improve it with Condense and Training Manuals. Smokie Cryst has two advantages. It’s Dark type and thus nocturnal, making it one of only two Pals with this effect alongside Vanqyrm Cryst. In addition, its Partner Skill increases Cooling for all other Pals at your base by +1 level.

Knocklem Ignis level 65: powerful attacker and base helper

If you’re looking for one of the strongest Pals around level 65, Knocklem Ignis is one of the best picks. You’ll find it on the southern Twinhorn Isle. Alternatively, you can breed it from a Knocklem and a Ragnahawk. Its stats are strong, especially defense and attack. Both are further boosted by its Partner Skill, which can temporarily increase attack and defense by 60 to 210%.

Knocklem Ignis is also solid as a base Pal. It has Lvl. 5 Kindling as well as Mining and Transporting Lvl. 7. That lets it shoulder heavy tasks, even if it’s fairly specialized.

Conclusion: best late-game Pals before Sunreach and the World Tree

Many of the new Pals can be found even later in the game and fill varied roles. Some are perfect for combat, such as Knocklem Ignis, Prixter Lux, or Carnibora. For your base, you should also use some of these Pals to gather resources or produce key items at the ranch. You can catch all the Pals featured here before level 65 and the new regions. That makes them an excellent starting point for the final two areas in the game: Sunreach and, later, the World Tree.
