With Palworld’s full release, a whole range of new Pals arrived that you can use right away. While some appear later, a few can already be found in the very first regions. They’re not always the strongest, but several have great abilities that can make your early game much easier. We also have a similar list with the best Pals from before release if you want to learn more . Today, however, we’re focusing only on the Pals that were newly added.

Palworld new early-game Pals on Windstieginsel

Find Pupperai in Palworld: Boost melee damage and strengthen your base

Pupperai is an adorably cute brown dog you can find along the southern coast of Windstieginsel, near the giant skeleton in the sea. It’s a Pal you’ll encounter early and can catch quite easily. With Gathering, Lumbering, and Transporting, it’s a great all-rounder for your first base.

Even better is its Partner Skill, which improves the player’s melee weapons. By default that’s 10% more damage, and it can be increased up to 35%. The effect does not stack, but it already hits hard early on.

Clovee in Palworld: Raise Gathering levels in the early game

You’ll also find the cute Pal Clovee very early, likewise on Windstieginsel, just a bit farther north around the area of the abandoned church. At your base, it helps with Planting and Gathering. Gathering is its focus, because while it’s stationed at the base, it raises the Gathering level of all other Pals there by 1 level. That can give your production a nice early boost.

Find Clovee and other new Pals by playing solo or together with friends. Rent your Palworld server here and jump in with friends. We recommend starting a new save, where the Pals presented here are likely to cross your path quickly.

Palworld Amione location at the land bridge between Bambusklamm and Windstieginsel

Amione location in Palworld: Watering booster for farms and handiwork

Amione is a twin Pal with two halves: one red and the other blue. You’ll find it around the land bridge and the waters between Bambusklamm and Windstieginsel. At your base, it provides Watering and Transporting at level 1, and Handiwork already at level 2.

Its main focus is Watering, because its Partner Skill raises that work suitability by 1 level. The effect doesn’t stack, but early on you’ll water much faster, which ramps up production.

Wispaw at night: Easier catching and strong base skills in Palworld

Wispaw is one of the first new Pals you’ll only encounter at night. It mostly appears in the starting region, namely Herbstfelsen and Güldenhochland, but you can also find it on Moorinsel. This night cat is likely one of the best Pals to catch early.

As a worker, it can handle four skills: Handiwork, Lumbering, Transporting, and Medicine Production. It’s also nocturnal, since it’s a Dark type. Its real strength lies in its Partner Skill, which makes it easier to catch Pals. The effect applies when you hit Pals from behind with a Sphere without being noticed.

Elgrove Grass type: Strong fighter and top worker in Palworld

Even better is Elgrove, one of the truly strong Pals you can catch early. It’s aimed more at levels 10 to 20, but we recommend finding it as soon as possible. You’ll encounter it in the middle of Bambusklamm, not far from the starter area. It’s large and sports horn-like branches.

Its work suitability alone is convincing. With Gathering and Mining Lv. 2 and Planting, Lumbering, and Transporting at Lv. 3, it’s arguably the best base Pal for your first proper settlement. It’s also very good in combat, converting your attacks to Grass type while boosting them by 30% up to a maximum of 50% at full condensation. You definitely shouldn’t skip Elgrove.

Tanzee Ignis: Early-game Kindling and combat perks

Tanzee isn’t new, but its Ignis (fire) variant arrived with version 1.0. It’s perfect for your first few hours, because it adds a new Pal with Kindling to the starter area. That makes it a good alternative to Foxparks and the like, as it also provides Handiwork, Lumbering, and Transporting.

You can find Tanzee Ignis on Herbstfelsen, fairly close to the start. It may also be worthwhile in combat, as its Partner Skill hits enemies with a fire assault rifle. You unlock this at Technology Level 13.

Puffolt Electric Pal: Maximize power generation at your base

The full release also added a new Electric Pal. In Bambusklamm you can now discover the cute and fluffy Pal Puffolt. This shaggy dog is fantastic for your base and provides Generating Electricity at level 2.

Much like Clovee and Amione, it can also support other Pals at the base. Puffolt boosts electricity generation by one level. That makes for a great combo with existing Pals like Jolthog or Sparkit.

Muffly Ice Pal: Freeze for a catching bonus in the early game

Muffly is also round and fluffy, a small ice bird with a cute face. You can find it a bit later, from level 15 at Mondsichelstrand. It spawns there quite frequently. With Cooling level 2, it’s a solid upgrade for cooling various machines in your base.

Its frost abilities aren’t just useful at the base, but also in combat. With Muffly, Pals affected by the Frozen status are easier to catch. That’s very helpful for completing the Paldeck capture goals.

Conclusion: New Palworld Pals for base, combat, and exploration

With over 70 new Pals, many aspects of Palworld need to be reconsidered. Several of the new creatures can take on valuable roles right from the start. Don’t just rely on the usual suspects—try some new catches as well. You never know how good the new Pals really are or what you’ll be able to do with them.
