With Update 1.0, not only did two large areas arrive in the form of the Sky Islands and the World Tree, but also a number of smaller islands scattered across the archipelago. They blend in among the Wildlife Sanctuaries and oil rigs and often offer exclusive Pals. Explore fiery volcanic regions, arid deserts, or strange ruins to find and catch all of these exclusive Pals. Most islands are worth it for the mid‑game, but the earlier you can visit and conquer them, the better the Pals, of course. We’ll take you on a trip around the entire archipelago and take a closer look at these mysterious islands.
Palworld Volcanic Islands: Level recommendations, rare Pals, and loot

Firevein Island in Palworld: Fire and Ground Pals from Level 40
Far to the north, not far from the third Wildlife Sanctuary, you’ll find a new fire island from the update. It’s crisscrossed with volcanic rock, and we recommend visiting it from level 40. Most Pals are around that level, if not higher. As the environment suggests, you’ll find primarily Fire and Ground Pals here. There are also some strong picks among them. You’ll also find a Pengullet Statuette and a Friendship Peach to win one of your Pals’ trust. One of the new ancient ruins is here too, with the blueprint for a Blazehowl Ring.
All Pals on the island:
- Pierdron (Alpha Boss Lv. 50): Pal with high defense and a strong miner.
- Skutlass Ignis: Can be used as a katana in combat.
- Blazamut: Still one of the strongest Pals in its class; a must for every Pal tamer.
- Dupin: Boosts you in combat once your health drops below 50%.
Twin Horn Island in Palworld: Powerful volcanic Pals from Level 60
For the other volcanic island, you’ll need to travel to the southern edge of the archipelago. We only recommend this one from level 60 to 70, as significantly stronger Pals await you here. The island is considerably larger than the previous one and thus has more secrets to offer. Surprisingly, however, there are fewer Pals. As on Firevein Island, there’s also a Pengullet Statuette for your power and a Friendship Peach to win a Pal’s trust. In the ancient ruin, you’ll find the blueprint for a Faleris Ring.
All Pals on the island:
- Moldron (Alpha Boss Lv. 70): One of the best new offensive Pals. Gains bonuses from additional Fire and Ground Pals.
- Knocklem Ignis: Defensive Pal that can grow even tougher mid‑fight.
- Dupin
Palworld Ruins Islands: Ancient ruins, rings, and exclusive Pals

Island of Circular Ruins: Dualith boss and Vaelet Ring
Besides the volcanic islands, there are two islands where you can find ancient ruins. One of them is on the eastern edge of the map, not far from the starter area. You should visit it by around level 50, possibly even earlier. On the island you’ll find an ancient ruin with the blueprint for the Vaelet Ring, a Lifmunk Statuette, and another Friendship Peach. Besides Dualith as the boss, the only other Pal here is Nitemary Botan, plus the rare Dupin again.
All Pals on the island:
- Dualith (Alpha Boss Lv. 55): Can fire Grass lasers in battle. A good base Pal.
- Nitemary Botan: Works well as support in fights with Grass Pals.
- Dupin
Island of Icy Ruins: Dualith Noct and Katress Ring
The second of the ruins islands is similarly exclusive, but for this one you’ll need to travel to the far west of the map. You should wait until level 60 before stepping foot here, though you can try your luck earlier. As a counterpart to Dualith, you can face Dualith Noct here. For your initiative, there’s also another Lifmunk Statuette and a Friendship Peach. The blueprint on this island is for the Katress Ring.
All Pals on the island:
- Dualith Noct (Alpha Boss Lv. 70): Fires a laser just like its normal variant—this time of the Dark type.
- Smokie Cryst: Provides cooling support for Pals at your base.
- Dupin
Palworld Desert Islands: Spawn spots, blueprints, and alpha bosses

Witter Island: Faleris Aqua Ring and Needoll boss
As a third type, you’ll find three desert islands scattered around the Palpagos Islands, each with matching Pals. The first of them is closest to your initial spawn location and therefore the quickest to reach. You only need to be level 40 here, though earlier is of course even better. As always, a Friendship Peach awaits you, as well as a Munchill Statuette. Be sure to check the ancient ruin to obtain the blueprint for the Faleris Aqua Ring.
All Pals on the island:
- Needoll (Alpha Boss Lv. 40): A strong Pal when combined with a tangle/snare effect in combat.
- Digtoise: Thanks to its ability, the perfect Pal for ore gathering.
- Dupin
Sun Emblem Island: Menasting Terra Ring and desert Pals
Sun Emblem Island is the only one of these small island groups with no alpha boss. It lies west of Sakurajima. You’ll once again find a Munchill Statuette, a Friendship Peach, and an ancient ruin with the blueprint for the Menasting Terra Ring. You can visit the island from level 50; the Pals you’ll find here are around level 55. We especially recommend a detour for Woolipop Terra.
All Pals on the island:
- Woolipop Terra: Drops caramel cotton candy at the ranch, used for cakes in Pal breeding.
- Polapup Terra: A good mount for snow and steep slopes.
- Dupin
Sandstone Gate Island: Fenglope Lux Ring, Prixter Lux, and Anubis
The last island in this group is likely the one with the best Pals. You’ll find it north of Feybreak. In the ancient ruin, you’ll find the blueprint for a Fenglope Lux Ring. You should be level 70 before stepping onto this desolate island. The Pals are strong and can take you out quickly. As always, don’t forget the Friendship Peach and the Munchill Statuette to aid your progress.
All Pals on the island:
- Prixter Lux (Alpha Boss Lv. 70): Turns your attacks into the Electric type.
- Anubis: One of the oldest Pals that still remains a top‑tier fighter and base Pal.
- Sekhmet: Increases general work efficiency and speed at your base.
- Dupin
Conclusion: Palworld islands for rare Pals, Dupin, and blueprints
From around level 40 to 50, we recommend taking a closer look at the outer rim of the archipelago and discovering some of these islands. In addition to strong and sometimes exclusive Pals, there are also statuettes, ancient ruins, and blueprints you wouldn’t find otherwise. The islands are also perfect for catching the Pal Dupin. This Pal is found primarily on these islands and is a great addition to your team. Beyond that, the islands offer treasures, great fishing spots, and ruins where you can obtain blueprints.
