With Palworld’s full release, the level cap was raised again. You can now train yourself and your Pals up to level 80, so you can ultimately beat the game. There are plenty of ways to earn experience points, but it can still be hard at times to reach the right level or train new Pals efficiently. There are many tricks the game does not tell you outright that grant a lot of EXP. No matter how far you are in the game, these tips should help.
1. Farm Palworld EXP: Catch 5 Pals per species

One thing you should always do, from start to finish in Palworld, is to catch five Pals for every entry in your Paldex. This task is tracked there and lets you rack up EXP quickly and with little hassle. Previously you had to catch 12; with version 1.0 that was reduced to just 5. Repeat this for all Pals; the EXP reward scales with your level. As a small bonus, you also receive a Mimog statue for each completed capture task, which increases your movement speed.
2. Follow the Palworld story and explore for EXP
The second tip is simple: just play the game and follow the story. You earn experience for completing quests, whether main or side quests. You are also rewarded for exploration, as every new area and every new fast travel statue grants a good amount of EXP. Dungeons and enemy camps are also great for training, since you earn EXP for each kill while gathering important resources.
If it still feels too slow, you can increase the EXP rate in the settings. This is especially useful on a server if you do not want to grind as long. Rent a high-performance Palworld server, so you as the admin can adjust the settings individually.
3. Farm Alpha bosses and tower bosses for fast levels
To farm EXP as quickly and efficiently as possible, especially with significantly under-leveled Pals in your party, take on bosses. You can defeat or capture Alpha Pals to gain a large amount of EXP. There are over 80 different Alpha bosses in the world to conquer. You can also revisit the tower bosses and defeat them repeatedly. Simple but effective.
4. Use Omascul: More EXP for your party

There is a Pal that can lend you a hand with this. With an Omascul in your party, you can increase EXP gained by your Pals by 40% to 80%. It is worth catching an Omascul early and condensing it with other Omascul to get the maximum effect. Unfortunately, Omascul is only found on Feybreak from level 57 onward, so it is more of a late-game option. From then on, it should always be in your party when you are actively training.
5. Bounty hunting in Palworld: Tokens and lots of EXP
A great way to earn enough experience, especially from midgame onward, is bounties. You can take your first contract as early as level 10, and the more than 60 different bandits span the entire game. Sometimes they fight alone; sometimes they even have a Pal with them. A victory grants you not only EXP but also a Bounty Token, which you can exchange for other items such as coins, implants, or fruits.
6. EXP boost from Palworld dishes

You can also cook various dishes and feed them to Pals to earn more EXP. This option is often overlooked but can be very handy when you want to focus on a single Pal. There are four dishes that temporarily increase EXP gain.
- Gloopie Takoyaki
- Jelliette Jelly
- Jellroy Jelly
- Seafood Salad
7. Training Manuals and crystals: Level Pals fast
There are also items that grant your Pals a fixed amount of EXP directly. These are the so-called Training Manuals, which you get as loot from certain Pals, by fishing, or from chests, and later you can also craft them with Ancient Pal Manuscripts. They range from a meagre 200 EXP up to 100,000 EXP with the XL variant. Additionally, you can occasionally find a Knowledge Crystal that gives your Pals an immediate level-up (similar to Rare Candies in Pokemon).
8. Equip the Growth Bell: EXP for all Pals

To further increase your Pals’ EXP, you can equip an additional accessory. The Growth Bell can be equipped by you and then gives all your Pals a small boost when it comes to earning EXP. You can find the corresponding schematic quite early, on the west coast of Crescent Moon Island in an ancient ruin.
9. Base work: Let Pals level passively
Pals working at your base also earn EXP, although much more slowly than if you fight with them. Still, you should not leave any Pal without a task, or they will earn no EXP at all. Assign every base Pal at least one specific job so they can level up passively.
10. Find Relaxaurus statues: +50% EXP at the Statue of Power

Finally, you can give your own EXP a small boost by finding Relaxaurus statues in the world. There are four in total, which you can bring back to the Statue of Power. Each statue grants a +12.5% EXP bonus, for a total of 50% more EXP for you. All statues can be found in the early to mid game, so you do not have to wait until late game. Learn more about the statues in our article (Palworld 1.0: All Effigies & Statue of Power Locations) .
Conclusion: Level up fast in Palworld and overcome any challenge
As you can see, there are many methods and options to earn EXP for you and your Pals. From your first steps on the archipelago to the late game, you can use several methods to gain experience. At the same time, there are useful items, mechanics, and even partner abilities that make it easier to stack EXP and train faster. Find the approach that fits you and your playstyle. And if all else fails, you can increase the EXP bonus in the settings.
