With Palworld 1.0, several existing systems have changed, including what you can do with the Statue of Power. On one hand, you can use Pal Souls there to strengthen your Pals, and previously you could also use Lifmunk Effigies to increase your capture rate. That latter system has now been greatly expanded with more effigies from other Pals and new aspects you can enhance. From faster movement to more EXP and status resistance, there are now many more player abilities you can improve. But you’ll need to find the corresponding effigies first.
Palworld Statue of Power: use Effigies the right way
The Statue of Power isn’t new to version 1.0 — it’s been in the game from the start. On one side, you can use Pal Souls to improve your Pals’ Attack, Defense, HP, and Work Speed. But the statue also lets you upgrade your own abilities.
With version 1.0, lots of new options were added — you can upgrade 13 different aspects! You can unlock the statue at Technology level 9 for two points, and craft it with 20x Stone and 10x Paldium Fragments. So you can start using the effigies you find quite early in the game. This is especially great for multiplayer, where everyone has their own progression. Rent a Palworld server and search for effigies together. Keep in mind that each player must collect and use the effigy themselves.
Hunting down all effigies can be tricky if you don’t know what to look for. Here are a few tips to make them easier to spot. At night, effigies emit a glow, which makes them easier to see. Even better is the Pal Nox with its partner skill “Düsterfluff”. Activate it to trigger a kind of echolocation. If an effigy is nearby, it will be marked on your compass at the top of the screen. With upgrades you can increase the range and reduce the cooldown.

Lifmunk effigies increase capture power
Just like before the 1.0 update, you use Lifmunk Effigies to increase your capture power. There are 155 of these effigies in the game, but you only need 100 for all upgrades. Altogether you can gain a +100 Capture Power bonus, helping you catch Pals more easily with any sphere type. You’ll find the green Lifmunk Effigies all across the world, even in the World Tree. Keep an eye out everywhere!
Lamball effigies boost satiation
Lamball is the first effigy of the second category. There are 30 of each on the map, concentrated in a specific region. You need 20 effigies to max them out. For Lamball, that’s your satiation, which you can increase by up to 50%. You’ll find them on the starting islands, such as the Bamboo ravines, the Crescent beach, and Windswept Isle.
Pengullet effigies swim faster
With Pengullet you swim faster while consuming less stamina. Both values can improve by up to 100%. A great upgrade, though not strictly necessary if you use a water mount. Again there are 30 effigies, of which you need 20. They’re found on Obsidian Island. There are two more effigies on the two new volcanic isles out at sea.
Munchill effigies preserve food
A less useful perk improves food preservation, which you get from using Munchill Effigies. Yes, the 50% bonus can help, but there are other ways to keep food from spoiling. Still, you can track down 20 of the 30 Munchill Effigies, primarily found in the desert regions.
Rooby effigies increase jump height
Rooby is much more important, as this effigy improves your jumps, which is always welcome. You can increase jump height by up to 50%, helping you move around more easily. You can find all 30 effigies in the northern ice regions and the spectral spires, though like the others you only need 20 for the maximum upgrades.
Herbil effigies make the glider more efficient
Herbil can be handy if you often use the glider. It can both increase speed and reduce stamina consumption by 30% each. That can be quite useful for getting around. Look for these effigies in the Sakurajima area.
Tanzee effigies climb faster
Tanzee is an extremely useful upgrade, letting you climb better. The 100% bonuses apply to both your speed and the reduction in stamina use. However, you’ll have to wait until you explore Feybreak to find 20 of the 30 effigies.
Depresso effigies resist status effects

Cattiva effigies reduce stamina consumption
Later on — only in the World Tree — you can find Cattiva Effigies. They’re very practical, as they reduce the stamina you use while sprinting and riding by up to 50%. Especially in the end game, this helps you run longer.
Lunaris effigies make spheres home in
Besides the regular effigies, there are three Pals that are extremely rare, and for which you must find all effigies to get the maximum upgrades. The first is Lunaris, which lets spheres automatically home in on targets. There are four tiers at 25% each, for 100% homing at max — and there are only four effigies.
Relaxaurus effigies gain more EXP
With all four Relaxaurus Effigies, you can increase your experience gained by 50%, leveling up faster. This applies to normal EXP, not bonus EXP. Here too you must find all four effigies, which are scattered across Palpagos Island.
Yakumo effigies better passive skills
Like its partner skill, the Yakumo effigies also focus on giving you better passive skills when capturing wild Pals. This is especially good for the late game to obtain stronger Pals. You’ll find two effigies on the islands and two more in the World Tree.
Mimog effigies faster movement speed
Lastly, you can also obtain Mimog effigies, but you won’t find these on the map. They appear in your inventory once you’ve captured five Pals of a species. There are 287 of these effigies in total, but you only need 115. There are 40 levels, with each level increasing your run speed by 0.5%, up to 20% faster.
