Palworld’s full release not only brought a host of improvements to existing features, it also added brand-new regions. One of them sits on the familiar map, floating high above the ocean. You’ll find plenty of new Pals here, along with fresh resources and other secrets to uncover. It’s best to visit only after you’ve wrapped up the other areas. Sunreach is the last major region before you venture into the endgame. But it’s much more than that! It can be the perfect place for a base, a training ground, or an ideal spot for farming rare resources.

Palworld Sunreach location, layout, and level recommendation

Palworld Sunreach location and access to the Sky Islands

Sunreach is a new area that appears in the south of the map. For both new and returning players, it will first be shrouded in fog until you’ve explored the surroundings. Unlike other islands, you can’t simply swim or fly there—the Sky Islands float far up in the clouds. This prevents you from arriving too early.

There are two ways to reach the islands:

  • Defeat the tower boss Björn and Bastigor on Feybreak and climb the tower there to reach a portal. This teleports you directly to the new Sky Islands. It’s the easiest, most straightforward method.
  • You can also use a flying mount with plenty of stamina to make your way up to the Sky Islands. It takes longer and not every Pal can manage it, but it’s a viable alternative. Aim for one of the lower islands first, then activate a fast travel point.

Sunreach is generally an end-of-game area and is recommended from level 65. A server is perfect for new players—team up with friends to level and beat Palworld together. Rent an affordable Palworld server with friends. With a few tricks, you can enter Sunreach earlier if you like—but the Pals here are incredibly strong.

Palworld Sunreach tower boss Auri and Shaolong: Tactics and team tips

Palworld Sunreach tower boss Auri and Shaolong fight

Like many other regions, the Sky Islands feature a new tower boss you’ll need to defeat. The tower is hard to miss when you first arrive: it’s surrounded by a massive water vortex that blocks entry. You must disable it before you can start the fight. Scattered around the islands are several defense mechanisms you need to shut down manually. You’ll recognize them by beams of light shooting into the sky. Once all are off, the vortex disappears.

You can then enter the tower and face the new boss: Auri and her Shaolong, an imposing Pal of the Dragon and Water types. The fight is recommended from level 68, and the boss has 327,600 HP. We recommend Electric and Ice Pals, as they’re strong against Shaolong’s elements. For Electric, consider Orserk, Univolt, or Prixter Lux; for Ice, Frostallion, Whalaska, or Pierdon Cryst work well. Make sure you also gear up with the best weapons.

The battle lasts up to five minutes and unfolds in multiple phases if you’re not fast enough. A Pal that can fly or swim is helpful, as later phases require more mobility. Otherwise, focus on dealing consistent damage to secure the win.

Palworld Sunreach resources: Dungeon, fishing spots, Soralit, and statuettes

Soralit, dungeon, and fishing spots on Palworld Sunreach

Beyond new Pals and the tower boss, there’s plenty more to do on Sunreach. For example, you can tackle the new dungeon Sphere of the Sun’s Hoard, with its entrance on the southern side of the island. Dungeons are always great for rare Pals or additional Alpha Bosses, and especially for rare tech manuals and blueprints. Explore the dungeon to uncover these treasures.

You can also fish on Sunreach to haul in powerful Pals or items. There are several good spots across the islands, but the best are the lake and river on the southwestern island Seerosenklamm. You’ll find two high-quality fishing spots there—don’t miss them.

Sunreach is also home to the new metal Soralit. Combine it with Pure Quartz to craft Soralit Bars. You’ll need them for many new technologies and weapons, as well as the Ancient Build Set. It’s not hard to find and can be mined almost everywhere on the islands.

Lastly, you can discover a whole range of new statuettes on Sunreach to offer at the Statue of Power for upgrades. In total, you can find 15 Lifmunk statuettes to increase the capture power of your spheres. There are also 30 Depresso statuettes, which reduce your susceptibility to status effects. Finally, you can find one rare Yakumo statuette, which increases the chance of strong passive skills on wild Pals.

Conclusion: Explore Palworld Sunreach from level 65

Sunreach is a new region you can access toward the end of the game. It’s packed with new Pals, resources, items, and plenty of exciting discoveries. Use the portal on the Feybreak tower or fly there with your own Pal to kick off your adventure. We recommend catching many of the new Pals, putting their abilities to work, and gathering the new materials. Sunreach is perfect for preparing for Palworld’s endgame and getting to know many of the new features.
