Palworld’s map is so big that you’ll have a hard time exploring everything in detail without help. Of course you can ride Pals or even fly on them, but you can also help yourself with a certain feature in the game. You probably know gliders from other games, letting you cover long distances in no time from high up. In Palworld, too, these flying devices are an important part of the transport system! Equip a glider and let it carry you across the map. They get even better when you also use a Pal that supports your flight. The right combination of glider and Pal lets you explore Palpagos Island from above with ease.

All Gliders in Palworld: Unlocks, Recipes and Stats

All gliders in Palworld from the Normal Parachute to the Wing Pack

Normal Parachute: Your First Glider From Level 5

For your first glider you have to wait until Technology level 5 and then spend two points to get the recipe. Craft it from Wood and Cloth, a simple recipe. It only has a low speed of 50 and a high stamina drain of 20. But for the beginning, it’s all you need. Our technology guide shows you what your remaining points are worth spending on (Palworld Technology Guide 2026: Levels, Points & Best Perks) .

We recommend unlocking the glider as quickly as possible in a new save. And if you’re still looking for a suitable server for your adventure, you can rent a Palworld server from us. Gliders are essential for your journey through the game!

Mega Glider for Advanced Players From Level 18

At level 18 you can already unlock the next glider, again for two Technology points. With it you only use 16 stamina and reach a speed of 65. A bit better than before! To craft it you need Wooden Boards, Bone and once again Cloth. It’s one of the gliders you’ll use the longest, so make good use of it!

Giga Glider From Level 40 for the Mid Game

Only at level 40 can you upgrade to the Giga Glider, this time for three points. This upgrade is worth it, because at speed 80 you become much faster and only use 12 stamina. At this point the upgrade is definitely necessary! Make the glider from Refined Ingots, Hardwood, Carbon Fiber and High Quality Cloth.

Hyper Glider From Level 52 for the Late Game

The next glider doesn’t keep you waiting long: you only have to reach level 52 to unlock it for four points. It’s important, because it’s the last real glider in the game. Build it from Pal Metal Ingots, High Quality Wooden Boards, Carbon Fiber and High Quality Cloth. It only uses 10 stamina and reaches a speed of 100. That makes the Hyper Glider twice as good as the first version overall.

Wing Pack: The Endgame Flying Device at Level 80

Palworld Wing Pack in the technology tree at level 80 with recipe and speed 1000

There’s one more thing you can unlock if you play Palworld through to the end. On the last Technology level, the Wing Pack awaits you for nine Ancient Technology Points! Unlock the Wing Cells at level 80 right away as well, for five regular points. You can find out how to get Ancient Technology Points in our post on ancient technology (Palworld 1.0: Ancient Technology and Late-Game Machines) .

The Wing Pack is a flying device that makes your gliders and most flying mounts practically obsolete. Its recipe is very expensive, though: you need Paldium Fragments, Paloxite Ingots, AI Cores, Thermal Cores and Ancient Civilization Cores. The cells also require Mystic Wood and Crude Oil. Equip the wings, carry enough cells in your inventory and soar through the skies at high speed! You can read which Pals can also carry you through the air in our guide to flying mounts (Palworld flying mounts: best mounts for early, mid, and late game) .

All Glider Pals in Palworld and Their Partner Skills

Palworld glider Pals Celaray, Celaray Lux, Killamari, Killamari Primo, Hangyu, Hangyu Cryst and Galeclaw

You can complement your gliders with a Pal to use its Partner Skill. The game offers four possible upgrades (with seven Pals) for your glider. To use them, unlock the respective gloves of the Pal. As always, you can upgrade their skills by condensing the Pals in the Pal Essence Condenser. However, you can no longer use the Pals directly as gliders, this feature was removed in version 0.5.5.

Celaray and Celaray Lux: Glide Faster

With Celaray and its Lux variant you can improve your glider and make sure you move faster while gliding. Both Pals have the same function, but you can catch the normal Celaray earlier, since it already appears in the starting area. You’ll find both near coastlines, Celaray around the islands at the start and Lux around the desert in the northeast. They’re a great first Pal for your glider!

Killamari and Killamari Primo: Float in the Air Longer

Killamari and its Primo version both give you an improvement for your glider. They let you float in the air longer when you have them equipped. You’ll mostly find both variants by fishing: Killamari at night in the waters between the iceberg and the desert and later on Feybreak. You’ll find Killamari Primo along the coasts of the desert and Obsidian Island. We explain exactly how fishing works in our fishing guide (Palworld Fishing Guide: Rods, Bait, Spots, and Loot) .

Hangyu and Hangyu Cryst: Gain Altitude With Your Glider

The third combination is Hangyu and Hangyu Cryst. Their skill helps you slowly gain altitude with a glider. Something a glider normally can’t do! You can actually find the normal Hangyu as early as level 9 in the starting area. You can only catch Hangyu Cryst in the icy region in the north. Their skill is very handy, especially for beginners.

Galeclaw: More Speed and Shooting in Flight

Finally, you can also use Galeclaw as glider support. This Pal lets you hang on to the glider with just one hand and shoot with the other hand. It also gives you a speed boost for your flight. Galeclaw is an early game Pal and can therefore be used as support right away. Catch it from level 11!

Conclusion: Fly Over Palpagos With the Right Glider and Pal

Gliders are part of your basic equipment in Palworld and help you see the world from above and glide from one place to another. Over the course of the game you unlock four different gliders that keep getting faster and use less stamina. At the end you can invest in the Wing Pack, a true endgame item! To make your gliders even more efficient, you also use Pals as support. Fly faster, stay in the air longer or even let yourself be carried up high!
