Working your fields in Palworld is an important task so that you can always keep yourself and your Pals supplied with enough food. This process can run all on its own if you use the right Pals in your base. In two previous guides we already talked about Pals for planting and Pals for watering. Today we look at which Pals you can use at the end for the harvest. It can be especially important to use different Pals and keep the work level as high as possible. That way your Pals are not only faster, but may also bring in more harvest. We take a closer look at Gathering and give you 15 Pals for every stage of the game at the end.

Gathering in Palworld: How to finish the harvest of your fields

Palworld harvest of tomato, carrot and onion from the fields of your base

Harvesting crops is the final step of your farming and an important part of the recurring rotation of new plants. From the harvested ingredients you can later cook meals or let Pals cook them. They keep your Pals fed, and some can also give certain bonuses!

Fields are therefore an essential part of every base, especially in multiplayer. Keep things in order there with the right Pals and benefit from Gathering bonuses at higher levels. Set up your own farm on a rented Palworld server and then use the Pals we suggest. By the way, Gathering only applies to fields, not to other items. The Transporting job is good for that.

All fields that bring you a harvest:

  • Berry Plantation (Level 5)
  • Wheat Plantation (Level 15)
  • Tomato Plantation (Level 21)
  • Lettuce Plantation (Level 25)
  • Potato Plantation (Level 29)
  • Carrot Plantation (Level 32)
  • Onion Plantation (Level 36)
  • Tech Fruit Garden (Level 71)
  • Ancient Cultivator (Level 78)

The best Gathering Pals in Palworld: From level 1 to 80

Gathering is one of the work suitabilities that improves not only the speed, but also the amount of items you get at the end. The higher the level, the more harvest the Pals bring in. At level 5, for example, you get x3 harvest, at level 10 even x5.5 of the harvest. So it is important to catch wild Pals with the highest possible potential for condensing. That is also the main focus of our list. But you can always use manuals for +1 level.

We also mix in some Pals with useful partner skills. If you are looking for Pals for planting, read our guide on that (Palworld Planting Guide: Best Pals, Fields, and Tips for Your Base) . Prunelia and Lullu, for example, are Pals we also recommend for Gathering! And for watering we have an article as well (Palworld Irrigation: Best Pals, Watering Fields & Tips) .

Gathering Pals in the early game (level 1-30)

Palworld early game Gathering Pals: Hoocrates, Clovee, Grintale, Nitewing and Surfent Terra
  • Hoocrates: This pretty bird is ready to gather for you day and night, and already from level 4 in the starting area. You can bring its Gathering level up to 5, a very good start for your harvest.
  • Clovee: We mention Clovee once more because it gives all other Pals in the base +1 in Gathering. It can reach level 4 itself and also plant. You can catch it from level 3, right near the spawn.
  • Grintale: With a potential of up to level 7 in Gathering, probably the best Pal for your first fields. You can catch it at night from level 25, and it also works at night.
  • Nitewing: At level 6 in Gathering it is not quite as strong, but it flies and is therefore more agile. Alternatively, you can also use Galeclaw. Both are fairly early Pals that you can catch at level 12 to 16.
  • Surfent Terra: Just as good as Grintale, with a maximum of level 7 in Gathering. With a bit of luck you can fish it up from level 26, otherwise catch it from level 31 in the desert.

Gathering Pals in the mid game (level 31-60)

Palworld mid game Gathering Pals: Maraith, Dazemu, Verdash, Gildane and Starryon
  • Maraith: A nocturnal Pal that you can catch at level 40 at the foot of the mountains. It has the potential for level 7 in Gathering and level 6 in Mining, a really practical combination.
  • Dazemu: Basically interchangeable with Nitewing and Galeclaw, all three can reach level 6 in Gathering and fly. You can find Dazemu in the desert at level 31.
  • Verdash: One of the few multitaskers on our list. It can reach level 7 in Gathering, but can also do Handiwork. On top of that it can also do Planting, Lumbering and Transporting. You can find an Alpha Verdash at level 35, and after that only again at level 52 on Sakurajima. Which other Pals are good at Handiwork is shown in our guide (Palworld Handiwork: All Stations and the 15 Best Handiwork Pals) .
  • Gildane: With level 9 in Gathering it has very high potential and can be caught from level 53 in the south of Feybreak. It is definitely one of the best Pals for the job and still fairly easy to catch.
  • Starryon: Also a level 9 gatherer, and thanks to its Dark type it is also nocturnal. You can catch it at night, also at level 53 south of Feybreak.

Gathering Pals in the late game (level 61-80)

Palworld late game Gathering Pals: Omascul, Jetragon, Starryon Primo, Hartalis and Frostallion Noct
  • Omascul: The third Pal with level 9 in Gathering, an eerie, cloaked figure that also works at night. Usually only catchable at level 57 to 61 on Feybreak, both during the day and at night.
  • Jetragon: The first of four Pals that can reach the maximum level 10 in Gathering. You can catch one on Sunreach at level 70, and nowhere else. What else the island offers can be found in our guide (Palworld Sunreach Guide: Location, Tower Boss, New Pals & Resources) .
  • Starryon Primo: With level 10 better than the normal Starryon, but not nocturnal and much rarer. You can only catch it in the World Tree at level 74 to 76.
  • Hartalis: Can only be obtained through its raid and the egg you get from it. It also reaches level 10 in Gathering, plus Lumbering at level 9. That makes it an extremely sought-after Pal!
  • Frostallion Noct: A good Pal for the job thanks to being nocturnal, and with level 10 the maximum harvest is possible too. You find it once at level 65 in the third Wildlife Sanctuary, far in the north of Palpagos Island. You can find all sanctuaries in our overview (Palworld Wildlife Sanctuaries: Locations, Levels, and Rare Pals) .

Conclusion: With the right Gathering Pals you get more harvest from your fields

In the game you can choose from over 100 different Gathering Pals, so it is not always easy to find the right ones. However, we think that focusing on the highest possible level is much more important, because that lets you increase your harvest. Pals that can also water and plant at the same time are great choices as well. That way you cover several aspects of your fields at once and have fewer Pals getting in each other’s way.
