A category newly introduced in version 1.0 covers skills that can boost a specific type of work. Each work type ranges from level 0 to 10; at each level, yield, speed, and efficiency can increase. Pals have different baseline work skills, but you can level them up via Condensing or books. Another option is to use the following Pals. They give other Pals in your base +1 to a specific work type. Unlike other Partner Skills, you can’t raise the strength — it’s always just +1 level.

These Pals are fairly evenly spread across the game’s progression. You can find Pals like Clovee in the early areas of Palpagos Island, while others show up much later. We especially recommend Katress Ignis, Wumpo, and Petallia, as they not only boost others but can also handle four or more work types themselves.
Palworld base: Pals for hunger and sanity
Work in your base can be pretty tough. Along the way Pals lose sanity and gradually get hungry. You need to look after both so your Pals keep working at full strength. Thankfully, some Pals help with exactly that and make upkeep easier. You should definitely keep these Pals in your base.
Woolipop and Woolipop Terra are cute cotton-candy Pals. No surprise they make your Pals’ hunger drop more slowly. The regular Woolipop reduces hunger loss by 10 to 20 percent depending on skill level. With Woolipop Terra you can get 15 to 25 percent less hunger loss. This effect does not stack, so one of them is enough. Neither Woolipop can do direct base work, but they can be used at the Ranch to produce Cotton Candy and Caramel Cotton Candy.
Shroomer Noct works similarly. This nocturnal Pal spreads spores that make sanity drop 10 to 15 percent more slowly. That’s vital to keep your Pals from freaking out. You need the Noct variant — the regular Shroomer doesn’t have this skill. You can find it from level 47 on Sakurajima. Shroomer Noct is also a strong base worker and can cover a broad range of tasks.
Palworld Partner Skills: Increase work speed and production
There are Pals with Partner Skills that focus on a specific task and complete it faster. Some are also combinations of a Pal pair, letting you squeeze out even more.
For example, a combo of Lullu and Prunelia is perfect for field work. Lullu makes fields more fertile so crops grow 50 to 70 percent faster. If you also use a Prunelia, that Pal can increase your harvest by 18 to 36 percent at the same time. Both are basically must-haves for farming.
You’ll also need Pals to water your fields. A team of Jelliette and Jellroy is the perfect choice, as they boost each other and increase their watering speed by 50 to 120 percent. That lets you water all your fields in no time. The effect applies only once and does not stack.
A third combo is Sekhmet and Anubis. With a Sekhmet in your base, the work speed of all Anubis increases by 20 to 40 percent. At the same time, Sekhmet can boost its own work efficiency when operating at a Workbench or on an Assembly Line, working 30 to 60 percent faster depending on level.
Finally, you can deploy Ribbuny Botan as a worker, specifically for weapon production. This cute bunny Pal is extremely quick at a Weapon Workbench or on a Weapon Assembly Line and can work between 200 and 400 percent faster. You won’t always mass-produce weapons, but Ribbuny Botan saves you a lot of time when you do.
Palworld breeding: Shorten incubation and get eggs faster
The last Partner Skills for an efficient base relate to breeding new Pals. This process can be very time-consuming and requires a lot of patience. It’s great when a few Pals help speed things up.
Two Pals lend a hand with breeding. First, there’s Braloha, which helps eggs get laid 20 to 50 percent faster when it’s in your base. That shortens the time between eggs so you can more quickly check for useful offspring. Combine Braloha with the new Pal Dynamoff to also reduce egg incubation time by 20 to 40 percent. These two are basically indispensable if you want to hatch lots of Pals.
