Installing Datapacks for Minecraft

In this article, we will explain how to install datapacks for Minecraft on your server.
To learn how to upload mods, please refer to our guide here: How to install mods.

Tip: You will need a FTP client like Filezilla.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Start and stop your server. The status of your server must be Server not running.
  2. Connect with your FTP client to Gameserver FTP.
    You can find the login details in the FTP overview when you click on FTP.
  3. Upload your datapack to the following directory:
    /minecraft-data/world/datapacks
    If the “datapacks” folder should not exist, you need to create it manually.
  4. Once the datapack is uploaded, start your server.
