Palworld was developed by Pocketpair and released in Early Access on January 19, 2024. The game blends elements of survival games, open-world adventures, and creature collecting. You explore a vast world, gather resources, expand your base, and assign Pals to different tasks. They help with farming, building, hauling, and fighting as you unlock new areas and craft stronger gear.
It all starts with gathering resources. Wood, stone, ore, and food form the foundation for tools, buildings, and your first base. Over time, this grows into an organized settlement where your Pals work and you unlock new production chains.
Pals are a central part of the game. You can catch them, train them, put them to work at your base, and fight alongside them against wild Pals or powerful enemies. Different abilities and elements make team selection important. For exploration, combat, and expanding your base, you’ll need not only strong but also well-matched Pals.
The open world offers diverse landscapes, dungeons, towers, and dangerous encounters. The farther you travel from your starting base, the more preparation, gear, and a well-composed team matter. Your own Palworld server is especially useful for groups that want their world available at all times. No one needs to run their own PC as a host for others to join. Your base, captured Pals, and shared progress are kept in one central place.
On your server, you can gather resources with friends, plan bases, breed Pals, and explore new areas. With an always-online server, anyone in the group can keep playing even when the original host is offline.
During server setup, you define access and rules. For a group across different platforms, also check the crossplay requirements. Experience, resources, and breeding times can be adjusted via the server settings.
With admin privileges, you can manage players and announce maintenance. Before making changes, back up the complete save data. For migration, follow the transfer guide; to roll back to an earlier state, use the backup restore.
