How to become an admin in Factorio

First, you need to open your game in order to find out your player name.
Simply start your game. Click on Settings –> Other, then you can see your LAN player name.

Basic Mode


Simply click on Admin Settings and enter your LAN player name in the corresponding field.
Make sure to respect the capitalization!

Advanced Mode


If your server is in Advanced Mode, you need to enter your name in the server-adminlist.json file.
Again, make sure to respect the capitalization. The name should be written between "".
Additionally, only one name per line should be entered.

Restart your server after making these changes.
