The Pals in Palworld all have different partner skills that support you in various situations. Some fight with their elemental strengths, others grab real weapons, or even become a weapon themselves. Today we’re looking at exactly those Pals that gain weapons through technology and can use them in battle. This lets them fight right at your side and really turn up the heat on enemies. They’re spread across every area in the game, from your first steps on Palpagos Island all the way to the new World Tree. Keep an eye out for these Pals and use their abilities directly in combat.

Palworld Lifmunk submachine gun: unlock and location
You can unlock the submachine gun for Lifmunk early, at Technology Level 11. The little Grass-type Pal won’t look quite so cute anymore and can really light up a target. The damage is solid for an early-game Pal, so it can be worth investing in Lifmunk. You can find this Pal on most of the surrounding islands in the first area, for example on the Tosenden Island to the north, on Windhauch Island, or on Moor Island. It’s easy to find and catch, making it perfect for your starter team.
Palworld Tanzee and Tanzee Ignis assault rifle: levels and locations
Tanzee is another Grass-type Pal you can catch right at the beginning. From Technology Level 12 you can unlock its assault rifle, which it will then use in battle. In parallel, the new Tanzee Ignis also gets this ability, here from Level 13 with a fire assault rifle. You can encounter both on the Autumn Cliffs, though we recommend focusing on Tanzee Ignis. Especially on a new server this Pal is very useful. Rent a Palworld server now at a great price: Palworld server rental. Tanzee Ignis offers better work skills, and the assault rifle deals a bit more damage.

Palworld Tocotoco gloves for bomb throws: unlock
Tocotoco, a bird Pal with a special ability, brings explosive vibes to the battlefield. You can unlock gloves at Level 18 and use them in combat. You equip Tocotoco itself as a weapon to fire explosive eggs. The explosions deal 100 damage, which is very solid for mid-game. You can find Tocotoco in sandy and desert-like areas, especially in the Thirst Dunes.
Palworld Pengullet and Pengullet Lux as rocket launcher ammo
Pengullet can also be used directly as a weapon—this time as ammo for a rocket launcher. The same applies to Pengullet Lux, at Technology Level 17 and 18 respectively. Your shot with Pengullet has to land, because on impact the little penguin is incapacitated. So you have only one chance to deal 250 damage, or 300 with Pengullet Lux. At that point it’s a massive explosion that can make all the difference in a clutch moment. Pengullet is widespread in the starting area, while Pengullet Lux appears only at night along the waters of the Desert Island.

Palworld Mossanda and Mossanda Lux grenade launcher: levels and locations
You’ll have to wait until Technology Level 32 and 34 before you can unlock another Pal weapon. With its grenade launcher, you can ride the Pal while Mossanda uses the weapon against all nearby enemies. The grenades deal 110 damage per hit. You can find Mossanda in Greenbrook; the Lux variant is exclusive to the World Tree, which makes it a late-game option that isn’t always practical.
Palworld Grizzbolt minigun: unlock and best use
Grizzbolt and its minigun are well known to many Palworld fans. Unlock the minigun at Technology Level 40 and then ride Grizzbolt to use it. Since the minigun fires almost continuously, every small hit adds up to high total damage. Grizzbolt is also a strong Electric-type Pal for your team. You can find it in the first Wildlife Sanctuary.

Palworld Relaxaurus and Relaxaurus Lux rocket launcher: area damage and locations
The cute dinosaur Relaxaurus doesn’t look like a Pal that fights with weapons at first. But from Level 45 and 48 respectively, you can equip it and its Lux variant with a rocket launcher. Here too, the Pal becomes a mount that you can control directly. Rain rockets down on your enemies to deal massive area damage. This is especially strong against multiple foes or large bosses. You can find Relaxaurus sporadically in waters or on the beach, and Relaxaurus Lux in mountain regions and caves.
Palworld Nyafia shotgun: unlock and shotgun buff
At Level 52 you can unlock the shotgun for Nyafia, a cat-like Pal with precise attacks. The direct damage isn’t as high as with other Pals at this level, but Nyafia can also boost your own shotguns. Depending on the partner skill level, you deal 10 to 35 percent more damage with shotguns. This Pal is perfect if you both want to play with shotguns. Nyafia lives in the northern part of Feybreak.

Palworld Jetragon rocket launcher in flight: unlock and location
Jetragon is one of the best Pals in the game. Unlock its rocket launcher at Level 70 and use it while flying through the skies with the Pal. The dragon Pal is fast and agile and supports you directly in combat. There is only one Jetragon on the new Sky Islands in the south. It’s worth the wait, and afterward you should keep it in your team permanently.
Palworld Bastigor ice hammer: unlock and location
The last combo you can unlock is Bastigor and its ice hammer. You’ll need to reach Level 73 and use Bastigor as a mount at the same time. The wait is worth it, as Bastigor is a very strong Ice-type Pal for the late game. You can find it at the World Tree in the ice area there. With its hammer, it strikes in melee and can take out enemies outright.
Conclusion: Palworld Pals with weapons are powerful support in battle
Some Pals specialize in weapons and can fight right at your side. Their use cases are very diverse. While Pals like Pengullet become a weapon themselves, others wield typical firearms. You unlock them gradually as you progress, from the first steps up to the late game. Used correctly, they’re great support and deal hefty damage.
