With over 70 new Pals in version 1.0, it’s no surprise that some very powerful new monsters were added. Pals you find later in the game in particular can really pack a punch! But don’t forget the many upgrade options as well, such as the Statue of Power and Pal Souls, the OP table, or the new Awakening for your Pals. In the end, any Pal can become strong, no matter when and where you caught it. Some Pals, however, are naturally better and come with high base stats in Attack, Defense, and HP you can build around. Palworld 1.0: Best Normal-type Pals and Builds
Sibelyx Primo: This Pal is built for Normal-type battles and increases the Defense of all other Normal-type Pals in battle by 15-30%. Stat-wise, it has comparatively high HP and can take a beating, but its Attack is rather weak.
Tetroise Primo: Another very strong Pal with high Defense that can soak up a lot of damage. Its ability reduces the durability loss of your armor and weapons by 80-100%.
Solenne: Solenne shines in a varied team. If all Pals on the team are different, the player’s Attack is increased by 30-80%. Extremely practical! Solenne also has great stats with high Attack and Defense.
Palworld 1.0: Strongest Fire-type Pals and Partner Skills
Knocklem Ignis: Probably one of the best Pals for your team, with high Defense. Thanks to its partner skill it can also temporarily boost its Attack/Defense by 60-210%, a real powerhouse.
Moldron: Moldron can be empowered in battle by other Fire or Ground-type Pals, gaining 4-8% Attack per slot. Its Attack is already comparatively high. A big advantage over many others on this list is that Moldron can be caught from level 32. Perfect for a rent a Palworld server with friends. Moldron is one of the absolute best new Pals in Palworld 1.0.
Eidrolon Ignis: Works similarly to its Ignis variant’s partner skill, but here both the Pal’s Attack and Speed are increased by 2-6% for each Fire or Dragon-type Pal.
Palworld 1.0: Top Grass-type Pals for Status Effects
Silvance: Silvance amplifies the status effect "Tangle" and makes enemies explode! It also makes you immune to exploding spores in the World Tree, so you can explore without worry.
Ophydia: If you’re focusing on the status effect "Soaked", use Ophydia in your team to boost your own attacks. This Pal also has high Defense and HP.
Dandilord: A very strong Pal with high Attack! It can poison player attacks and makes you and your Pals immune to enemy poison at the same time. You can also pass through the putrid miasma in the World Tree without taking damage.
Palworld 1.0: Best Water-type Pals for Offense and Base
Shaolong: A mythical water dragon with very high Attack and good Defense. For each additional Dragon-type Pal in the team, its Attack increases by 4-8%.
Panthalus: You can only obtain this Pal by summoning when entering the World Tree. Its Defense and HP are significantly higher than those of regular Pals! Deploy it at your base to bombard intruders from above.
Skutlass Ignis: Not necessarily the strongest Pal, but its ability is super fun. You can wield Skutlass Ignis as a sword, dealing 2900-4200 damage. Don’t use it too long, or it will become incapacitated.
Palworld 1.0: Strongest Ground-type Pals with High Defense
Aegidron: One of the strongest Pals overall, with extremely high Defense. Obtainable via breeding. In a team it protects your Pals from explosions, which deal 60-80% less damage. Also grants immunity to Stun.
Gildra: Gildra impresses above all with its high Attack and combat ability. When it becomes incapacitated, it revives itself once and its satiety is set to 0.
Sekhmet: A great combo together with Anubis, especially for base efficiency. In battle it mainly shines with high stats and strong potential!
Palworld 1.0: Best Electric-type Pals for DPS and Utility
Prixter Lux: Electric didn’t gain many standout Pals, but Prixter Lux shines with its solid Attack! It can also convert the player’s attacks to Electric and increase them by 30-60%.
Dynamoff: Dynamoff doesn’t have the best combat stats, though you can still power it up. It’s better suited as a base Pal to increase breeding speed.
Solmora Lux: One of the few new water mounts, causing your attacks to take on the Electric element and become up to 20% stronger. You can also fish for Pals with higher potential with Solmora Lux.
Palworld 1.0: Strongest Dark-type Pals and Synergies
Majex: Majex is primarily Dark-type, but its ability focuses on the status effect "Burn". Burns deal increasingly more damage with Majex on the team, which can be very effective over time!
Eidrolon: Has almost the same ability as its Ignis variant, except now you need Dark and Dragon-type Pals on the team to increase Attack and Speed by 2-6% per Pal. It also has excellent stats!
Dualith Noct: Another solid defender for your team that also packs strong Attack. Even better with Dualith Noct’s laser attack.
Palworld 1.0: Top Ice-type Pals with Control
Elgrove Cryst: The regular Elgrove didn’t make the Grass list, but we want to highlight the Ice variant here! It has plenty of HP and ensures that enemies hit with "Soaked" also immediately receive "Freeze".
Moldron Cryst: The Ice variant of Moldron is also extremely strong for your team, with high Attack. Attacks get even better when you hit an enemy’s weakness with Ice attacks.
Pierdon Cryst: If you’re looking for a new Ice Pal with good Defense, use Pierdon Cryst. It can reduce Dragon-element damage by 15-30%.
Palworld 1.0: Best Dragon-type Pals and Synergies
For the Dragon type we can’t list new Pals, as there are only four new dual-element Pals. Here’s a recap of earlier Pals that still count as Dragon-type and are among the strongest new Pals!
Shaolong: Attack is increased by 2-6% for each additional Dragon-type Pal on the team.
Eidrolon (Ignis): Depending on the Eidrolon variant, you can increase Attack and Speed here as well.
Aegidron: Protects your Pals from explosion attacks and grants immunity to Stun.
Conclusion: Make Smart Use of the New Pals in Palworld 1.0
As you can see, version 1.0 added some truly strong Pals with unique abilities. Many of them are found quite late in the game, but you may be able to train them more effectively then and overcome some of the really big challenges with them. Don’t forget that a Pal’s potential is also crucial, even within the same species. Compare the Pals you catch and build around those with high growth potential.
