It’s not always perfect—sometimes mobs lose interest—but it’s a reliable way to attract and move them. The key is having the correct food in your inventory.
2. Transport multiple animals: Use leads
Another excellent method is transporting animals with a lead—one of the best overall options. The recipe is 4 string and 1 slimeball, so you can craft leads fairly early in the game. Rent a Minecraft server at a great price and quickly farm string and slime to craft leads. You can walk animals with a lead or tie them to fence posts.
Leads are very handy. Keep in mind: a lead isn’t infinitely long and can snap—you’ll hear a distinct sound when it happens. The limit is 12 blocks.
