Download your savegame for Space Engineers

Tip: We recommend using an FTP program such as Filezilla.

This is how you can download your savegame:

  1. Stop your server. The status of the server must be Server not running!
  2. Connect to the Savegames-FTP with your FTP program.
    You can find the login data in the FTP overview by clicking on FTP.
  3. You can find your savegame here:
    /ConfigID/saves/Saves/World
    Note: The ConfigID or ConfigurationID for your server can be found on our page under Game Server.
    If your ConfigID were, for example, 123456, the path would look like this:/123456/saves/Saves/World.
  4. You can now either
    • download the whole world folder if you want to backup your savegame or
    • download only the sandbox_config.sbc and sandbox.sbc if you want to make changes to the savegame ( e.g. Install mods ).
