Enable cfggameplay.json in DayZ
The cfggameplay.json file controls settings such as stamina, building rules, and damage. DayZ only loads it when it is enabled in serverDZ.cfg. Otherwise, your changes have no effect even if the JSON file is valid.
Enable cfggameplay.json
Stop your DayZ server.
Open
serverDZ.cfgin Advanced Mode.Search for
enableCfgGameplayFile. If the line already exists, set its value to1. If it is missing, add this line:enableCfgGameplayFile = 1;Save the file and start the server again.
Important: The parameter is named enableCfgGameplayFile, not enableCfgGameplay. DayZ does not recognize the version without File.
Check the active mission folder
Place cfggameplay.json directly in the active mission folder under mpmissions/. The template entry in serverDZ.cfg names that folder. For example, if it says template = "dayzOffline.chernarusplus";, the file belongs here:
mpmissions/dayzOffline.chernarusplus/cfggameplay.json
If the file is missing, put a suitable cfggameplay.json in that mission folder first. See the official DayZ documentation for the file template and available settings.
