After completing Space Elevator Phase 1, both Tier 3 and Tier 4 become available in your milestones. We already covered Tier 3 (Satisfactory Tier 3 Guide: Coal Power, Truck Transport, and Steel Production) and now it’s time to expand your factory’s logistics. That’s the focus of this stage of your progression: fewer brand-new elements, more upgrades to existing systems. From new miners and conveyors to the much-loved Blueprints, Tier 4 has plenty of surprises in store! It’s also currently the last tier you can finish before you need to advance Space Elevator Phase 2 to continue.
Satisfactory Tier 4: Use FICSIT Blueprints efficiently

Blueprints are an extremely helpful tool for building out your factory and can be unlocked in this tier. They let you keep expanding without planning every detail from scratch. We recommend you unlock this one even while you’re still working through Tier 3. The earlier, the better!
Unlock with:
- 100x Modular Frame
- 200x Steel Beam
- 500x Cable
- 1000x Concrete
Blueprints Mk. 1 give you a 4x4 tile area. It’s not huge yet, but still incredibly practical. You’ll be able to unlock larger footprints later on, but for now, this will do.
Press Q to bring up the frame and place it. You’ll see a grid on the floor along with a workstation. Build your template on the grid and save it at the station. There you can set a name, icon, and description so you can tell your blueprints apart. Afterwards, you can reuse that blueprint to build repetitive production segments faster and more consistently.
Logistics Mk. 3 in Satisfactory: Faster conveyors and storage

This milestone is also key for speeding up your production and moving more items. You should unlock it as soon as you can and put its benefits to work.
Unlock with:
- 200x Steel Beam
- 200x Steel Pipe
- 400x Reinforced Iron Plate
First up are the improved Conveyor Belts Mk. 3, plus the matching Conveyor Lift Mk. 3 for better vertical transport. These belts are more than twice as fast, feeding your machines with many more resources. It’s best to upgrade all belts in your factory over time. You don’t have to dismantle the old ones—just upgrade them in place.
Also extremely important here are the new Industrial Storage Containers, which now have double the capacity of the old ones. Swap them in at the end of your largest lines to stockpile even more resources. You can also combine them with the Dimensional Depot for direct access. Each container now offers two inputs and two outputs.
Satisfactory steel production: Encased Industrial Beams, Motors, Stators & Miner Mk. 2

Steel remains one of your most important resources and will be critical for progressing the Space Elevator. It’s worth investing early here, even if the required materials are a bit tougher to produce.
Unlock with:
- 100x Steel Pipe
- 100x Modular Frame
- 200x Rotor
- 500x Concrete
Before you can unlock the last two Tier 4 segments, set up production for Encased Industrial Beams. They’re important later on and required to finish Tier 4. Craft them from Steel Beams combined with Concrete.
This milestone also unlocks production for Motors, Stators, and—most importantly—Automated Wiring. That’s the final ingredient you need for the Space Elevator. You can already make Smart Plating (Tier 2, partial manufacturing) and Versatile Framework (Tier 3, steel production). So get this line running to unlock Tiers 5 and 6.
Don’t forget the new Miner Mk. 2, which you can now deploy on your ore nodes. It extracts twice as much ore, boosting a pure node from 120 to 240 items per minute. Combined with the Conveyor Belts Mk. 3 from the previous milestone, nothing stands in the way of a serious production upgrade.
Expand the power grid: Power Towers, Zipline, and Power Storage

You’ll need an upgraded steel setup for Encased Industrial Beams first, but after that, you should quickly modernise your power network. That lets you span long distances—both for electricity and, thanks to Ziplines, for yourself.
Unlock with:
- 50x Encased Industrial Beam
- 100x Steel Beam
- 200x Modular Frame
- 2000x Wire
The new Power Towers you unlock here are fantastic for expanding your factory. They have a significantly longer range than regular power poles and can carry power much farther from A to B.
They aren’t just good for power distribution: with the Zipline equipment you can ride along the cables yourself to cover long distances. Use Power Towers with an intermediate platform to make the most of it. You unlock the Zipline in the MAM by researching Caterium.
Also important is Power Storage, which you can now build. It prevents power from going to waste and helps buffer spikes and fluctuations. Each unit provides a capacity of 100 MW, so build several and don’t let surplus power go unused.
Hypertubes in Satisfactory: Fast player transport system

You don’t have to unlock this last Tier 4 milestone immediately, as it’s not essential for production. Still, Hypertubes can be very worthwhile, especially over long distances.
Unlock with:
- 50x Encased Industrial Beam
- 300x Steel Pipe
- 500x Copper Sheet
Hypertubes are another transportation option for you as a player. They work like giant pneumatic tubes that shoot you through quickly using air pressure. Use them across long stretches or between floors to move around fast. Some players even use them as a cannon. Search online for blueprints (we covered those in point 1) or get creative yourself.
Conclusion: Satisfactory Tier 4 as the foundation for progress and efficiency
To push the Space Elevator forward and polish your production, Tier 4 is essential. You’ll unlock many key elements that noticeably boost your output. From faster conveyor belts and power distribution to improved miners for ore extraction, this tier delivers. And with Blueprints, you can now plan and build more efficiently than ever.
