While Palworld doesn’t follow a strict main storyline, there are several important milestones to tackle. Among them are the Syndicate Towers scattered across the map. You won’t miss them while exploring, but whether you should start a fight depends on your level. There are currently seven towers with powerful boss encounters that require solid preparation. The farther you progress, the more of them you can defeat. Afterwards, you can challenge them again in Hard Mode if you’re looking for a serious test. We’ll cover every boss and show you when, where, and how to fight them most effectively.
Defeat Palworld Tower Boss Zoe and Grizzbolt

- Location: Windswept Hills
- Level: 15
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)
Zoe and her Grizzbolt are the first boss encounter you can take on. She’s level 15, so we recommend at least matching that level and making sure your Pals are properly trained. If you get defeated, you can retry the fight as often as needed.
Since Grizzbolt is an Electric type, focus on Ground-type Pals. Look for Partner Skills and passive skills that boost Ground attacks to maximize your chances. For your own gear, unlock the Crossbow (Level 13). Have at least the first Shield (Level 4) unlocked. Use the arena to your advantage and take cover behind the pillars.
Recommended Pals for this fight:
- Gumoss
- Direhowl
- Rushoar
- Fuddler
- Foxparks
Counter Palworld Tower Boss Lily and Lyleen

- Location: Frostbound Mountains
- Level: 25
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)
Next up at level 25 is Lily. Fire-type Pals work especially well here to turn up the heat on Lyleen. Be aware Lyleen can use some Water attacks—keep your Pals mobile and dodge accordingly. You should have the Old Pistol (Level 24) unlocked for reliable ranged damage. Metal Armor (Level 23), Metal Helm (Level 23), and the Mega Shield (Level 16) are also excellent picks.
Recommended Pals for this fight:
- Wixen
- Rooby
- Foxparks
- Vanwyrm
- Kelpsea Ignis
Palworld Tower Boss Axel and Orserk: Beat Dragon/Electric

- Location: Mount Obsidian
- Level: 40
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)
You’ll have around 15 levels to prepare for Axel at Mount Obsidian, so this fight is a bit tougher. Orserk is a Dragon/Electric dual type, so it doesn’t fold to a single obvious counter. Ice- or Ground-type Pals are your best bet. At this stage, lean on progression systems: fight Alpha Pals, condense your Pals, breed them, and enhance them in any way you can.
Your gear should include the Giga Shield, Refined Metal Armor, Helmet, and new firearms like the Submachine Gun and the Double-Barreled Shotgun. All of this can be unlocked by level 40. If you’re still struggling, push to around level 46 and bring upgrades for your equipment.
Recommended Pals for this fight:
- Dumud
- Foxicle
- Anubis
- Wumpo
- Gorirat Terra
Palworld Tower Boss Marcus and Faleris: Counter Fire with Water

- Location: Desiccated Dunes
- Level: 45
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)
Soon after, you can challenge Marcus and his Faleris, a Fire-type Pal. Water is your best weapon here. All previous tips still apply; on top of that, we recommend suitable accessories. More on that in our guide: (Palworld accessories: The best items and how to unlock more slots) .
For yourself, aim for level 46 and upgrade to Pal Metal Armor and Pal Metal Helm, the Tera Shield, and the Assault Rifle.
Recommended Pals for this fight:
- Kelpsea
- Suzaku Aqua
- Azurobe
- Penking
- Jormuntide
Palworld Tower Boss Victor and Shadowbeak: Counter Dark

- Location: Astral Mountains
- Level: 50
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)
At this point it’s all about using the right Pals and powering up. Shadowbeak is Dark type, so Dragon-type Pals are generally your best choice. Condense Pals, teach them the right moves, and stack strong passives.
Raise your Technology Level to 50 and upgrade to Cold-Resistant Pal Metal Armor, plus weapons like the Semi-Auto Shotgun and the Rocket Launcher for maximum burst damage.
Recommended Pals for this fight:
- Gilet
- Quivern
- Astegon
- Xenogard
- Orserk
Palworld Tower Boss Saya and Selyne: Beat Dark and Neutral

- Location: Sakurajima
- Level: 55
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)
This fight builds naturally on the previous one. Selyne is Dark and Neutral type, so Dragon-type Pals remain highly recommended.
We suggest leveling to 55 to unlock the Ultra Shield, Light Plasteel Armor, and the Rocket Launcher. Items like the Double Jump Boots are also great for improved evasion.
Recommended Pals for this fight:
- Jetdragon
- Gilet
- Quivern
- Vanwyrm Cryst
- Xenolord
Palworld Tower Boss Bjorn and Bastigor: Beat Ice with Fire

- Location: Feybreak Island
- Level: 60
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)
The final tower boss currently available is Bjorn with his Bastigor, an Ice-type Pal. Seek out the strongest Fire-type Pals you can and train them thoroughly. Be careful—Bastigor can also use some Water attacks.
You should reach at least level 60 to unlock Light Hexolite Armor, the Hexolite Helm, the Sci‑Fi Shield, and the Plasma Cannon. If you hit the current max level of 65, you’ll also get the Plasma Rifle, the Overheating Rifle, and the Tesla Rifle. These help, but they aren’t strictly required.
Recommended Pals for this fight:
- Jormuntide Ignis
- Ghangler Ignis
- Blazamut Ryu
- Bushi (Noct)
- Vanwyrm
Conclusion on all Palworld Tower bosses and Hard Mode
If you’re after an ever-increasing challenge, work your way through the Syndicate Towers across Palpagos Island. They’re designed to test you against the best. Beat them first on Normal to unlock Hard Mode later. Use type advantages, stay mobile, and train your Pals for each upcoming fight.
In multiplayer, you can tackle these bosses together with others, which is why we highly recommend one of our Palworld servers. This gives you a better chance at victory and lets you fight side by side.
