In Hytale, you can not only head out on adventures but also build your dream home and settle down in a beautiful location. Your home serves as storage and a workplace—and as an expression of your creativity. Hytale already offers plenty of exciting ways to make your house look great and feel cozy. That is where the Furniture Workbench and the Builder’s Workbench shine. Together, they give you almost endless options to add detail to your builds. Today we will take a closer look at both so you can discover great decorations and additional blocks!
Hytale Builder’s Workbench guide: convert block variants and crafting recipes

The Builder’s Workbench is easy to understand, but the more blocks you find in the game, the more complex this bench becomes. To craft it, you need 6x Logs and 3x Stone plus the regular Workbench. After that, you can already start exploring Hytale’s variety of blocks! There is currently no upgrade for this bench.
Let’s take Oak Wood as an example, which can be turned into many different things at the Builder’s Workbench. You can make standard planks, but also stairs and slabs—familiar if you’ve played Minecraft. It goes further: you can also craft roof tiles, ladders, and fences, plus trapdoors and regular doors. Furniture is possible too, including cabinets, shelves, and tables. As you can see, the Builder’s Workbench is extremely versatile.

If you hover over the Input with your mouse, all blocks in your inventory that can be converted at the bench are highlighted—and that’s quite a lot. With future updates, many more options will surely be added. We recommend testing every block you find to see what else you can craft from it.
Hytale Furniture Workbench guide: craft furniture and decorations

The Furniture Workbench offers eight different tabs of furniture and decorations you can place in your world. This ranges from chests and lighting to seasonal decor. You will find many great items that fit perfectly into your builds. There is no additional upgrade here yet either. It is likely that more will be added in upcoming updates, so keep an eye out.
Crafting chests in Hytale: storage and inventory management

The first section focuses on chests you can craft. Unlike Minecraft, which only has a single variant, Hytale lets you craft a whole range of different chests. Most of these unlock gradually as you collect Memories and turn them in at the Forgotten Temple (Find Hytale Memories: Locations, Tips, and Rewards) . Some crafting resources are also not that easy to come by. Different chest types are handy for sorting and keeping your items organized.
Crafting beds in Hytale: respawn and sleep

The second tab lets you craft various beds that allow you to skip nights and set your spawn point. Generally, beds only differ visually—there are no direct gameplay advantages to building a fancier bed. But for decorative purposes, it can still be nice to craft a different style.
Light sources in Hytale: craft lamps, lanterns, and lighting

The lighting section is more exciting, offering a wide selection of lamps, lights, and lanterns. Some of them can be found in the world and taken with you, saving you from having to craft them yourself. The right light sources are key to giving your home the perfect mood.
Most of them require a Candle to craft. You can also craft Candles here; they need Tree Sap and a Copper Ingot. Otherwise, the recipes vary widely, and some require hard-to-find materials like bamboo, thorium, or bones. Other lamps build on the materials from the following categories.
Ceramics, textiles, and timber walls: colorful building blocks in Hytale

Ceramics: Here you can craft clay from Red Sandstone. You will find sandstone in Zone 2, specifically in the Golden Steppes—with plenty underground. Using the clay you obtain and various petals, you can make different colors of clay. Clay is used in many crafting recipes.
Textiles/Wool: Similar to clay, you can use petals here to dye wool. You get wool by keeping sheep and shearing them with shears.
Timber walls: Using the previously crafted clay and Hardwood, you can craft colored walls with wood accents that are great for building.
Decorations in Hytale: books, bones, and plush

In the penultimate tab, you currently find many different decorative elements you can craft. These include stacks of books, various bones, a cute Kweebec plushie, and even the Woodcutter Block. These items let you add the finishing touches to your world and bring it to life. And surely many more items will be added here.
Seasonal decor in Hytale: Halloween and Christmas

If you prefer a festive look, the last section of the Furniture Workbench is perfect for you. Here you will primarily find decor for Halloween and Christmas that makes your builds instantly more charming. There are jack-o’-lanterns, snowmen, string lights, and even gifts that you can use as chests. And perhaps more items will arrive here too—maybe for Easter or another holiday.
Conclusion: Hytale furniture, lighting, and building blocks for a cozy home
Even now, Hytale offers plenty of blocks and items to furnish and decorate your new home. Both the Builder’s Workbench and the Furniture Workbench are your best friends for discovering every last block. The Builder’s Workbench unlocks even more variants for many blocks, while the Furniture Workbench provides lighting, colorful building blocks, and seasonal decorations.
The best way to explore these options is on your own Hytale server, which you can of course rent from us. Play together with your friends and always be ready when a new update drops—perhaps with even more decorations.
