Palworld doesn’t follow a strict storyline, but there are several important milestones to tackle. Among the most notable are the Syndicate Towers scattered across the map. You won’t miss them while exploring, but whether you should step into a fight depends on your level. There are currently seven towers with tough boss encounters you’ll want to prepare for. The further you progress, the more of them you can defeat. Afterwards, you can challenge them again in Hard Mode if you’re after a serious test. We cover every boss and show you when, where and how to beat them.
Palworld Tower Boss Zoe and Grizzbolt

- Location: Windswept Hills
- Level: 15
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + Fast Travel point (+1 Tech Point)
Zoe and her Grizzbolt are likely the first duo you’ll face. She’s level 15, so we recommend you reach at least the same level and train your Pals accordingly. If you die, you can retry the fight as often as you like.
Because Grizzbolt is Electric, bring Ground-type Pals. Look for Partner Skills and Passive Skills that boost Ground attacks to maximise your damage. For yourself, unlock the Crossbow (Level 13) and at least the first Shield (Level 4). Use the arena to your advantage and take cover behind the pillars.
Recommended Pals for the fight:
- Gumoss
- Direhowl
- Rushoar
- Fuddler
- Foxparks
Palworld Tower Boss Lily and Lyleen

- Location: Frostbound Mountains
- Level: 25
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + Fast Travel point (+1 Tech Point)
Next up, take on Lily at around level 25. Fire-type Pals are excellent here to really turn up the heat on Lyleen. Note that Lyleen can use some Water attacks, so keep your Pals moving and dodge smartly. You should have unlocked the Old Pistol (Level 24) for safer ranged damage. Metal Armour (Level 23), Metal Helm (Level 23) and the Mega Shield (Level 16) are also ideal picks.
Recommended Pals for the fight:
- Wixen
- Rooby
- Foxparks
- Vanwyrm
- Kelpsea Ignis
Palworld Tower Boss Axel and Orserk: counter Dragon/Electric

- Location: Mount Obsidian
- Level: 40
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + Fast Travel point (+1 Tech Point)
You’ve got about 15 levels to prepare for Axel in the Mount Obsidian tower, and the fight is noticeably tougher. Orserk has a dual Dragon/Electric typing, so there’s no single hard counter. Ice- or Ground-type Pals work well. At this stage, use every tool: fight Alpha Pals, condense your Pals, breed them and power them up.
Your gear should include the Giga Shield, High-Quality Metal Armour, Helmet, and new firearms like the SMG and Double-Barrel Shotgun. You can unlock all of these by level 40. If you’re still struggling, push to level 46 and take upgrades for your equipment.
Recommended Pals for the fight:
- Dumud
- Foxicle
- Anubis
- Wumpo
- Gorirat Terra
Palworld Tower Boss Marcus and Faleris: counter Fire with Water

- Location: Desiccated Dunes
- Level: 45
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + Fast Travel point (+1 Tech Point)
Soon after, you can face Marcus and his Faleris, a Fire-type Pal. Water is your best weapon. All previous tips still apply, and we additionally recommend appropriate accessories. More in our guide: (Palworld Accessories: The best items and how to unlock more slots) .
You should push to level 46 and upgrade to Palmetal Armour, Palmetal Helm, the Tera Shield, and an Assault Rifle.
Recommended Pals for the fight:
- Kelpsea
- Suzaku Aqua
- Azurobe
- Penking
- Jormuntide
Palworld Tower Boss Victor and Shadowbeak: counter Dark

- Location: Astral Mountains
- Level: 50
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + Fast Travel point (+1 Tech Point)
From here on, it’s about bringing the right Pals and scaling up. Shadowbeak is Dark-type, so Dragon-type Pals are your best bet. Condense Pals, teach them the right attacks, and look for fitting passive traits.
Raise your own Technology level to 50 and upgrade to Cold-Resistant Palmetal Armour, plus weapons like the semi-auto shotgun and the rocket launcher for maximum burst damage.
Recommended Pals for the fight:
- Gilet
- Quivern
- Astegon
- Xenogard
- Orserk
Palworld Tower Boss Saya and Selyne: counter Dark and Neutral

- Location: Sakurajima
- Level: 55
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + Fast Travel point (+1 Tech Point)
This fight builds neatly on the previous one. Selyne is Dark and Neutral, so Dragon-type Pals remain highly effective.
We recommend training to level 55. This unlocks the Ultra Shield, Light Plasteel Armour and the Rocket Launcher. Utility such as Double Jump Boots is also handy for better dodging.
Recommended Pals for the fight:
- Jetdragon
- Gilet
- Quivern
- Vanwyrm Cryst
- Xenolord
Palworld Tower Boss Björn and Bastigor: melt Ice with Fire

- Location: Feybreak Island
- Level: 60
- Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + Fast Travel point (+1 Tech Point)
The final tower boss (for now) is Björn with Bastigor, an Ice-type Pal. Seek out the strongest Fire-type Pals and train them thoroughly. Watch out: Bastigor can also use some Water attacks.
You should reach at least level 60 to unlock Light Hexolite Armour and Hexolite Helm, the Sci‑Fi Shield, and the Plasma Cannon. If you hit the current max level of 65, you’ll also unlock the Plasma Shotgun, Overheat Rifle, and Tesla Rifle. Helpful, but not strictly required.
Recommended Pals for the fight:
- Jormuntide Ignis
- Ghangler Ignis
- Blazamut Ryu
- Bushi (Noct)
- Vanwyrm
Conclusion: all Palworld Tower Bosses and Hard Mode
If you’re after an ever-greater challenge, tackle the Syndicate Towers across Palpagos Island step by step. They’re designed to test you against the best. Defeat them first in normal mode to unlock Hard Mode later. Use type advantages, stay mobile, and train your Pals for each upcoming fight.
In multiplayer you can take on these bosses together, so we highly recommend one of our Palworld servers. You’ll have a much better chance of victory and can fight side by side.
