Every Pal has a range of abilities they can use in combat or passively at your side. These are called Partner Skills and are fixed for each species. They can cover many different aspects of the game, whether that’s gathering ore or other resources, fun little perks, the option to ride them, or powerful combat support. With so many Pals, some simply aren’t worth it. So today we’re looking at which Pals with which Partner Skills are genuinely worthwhile — and which you might even want to condense to make even stronger.
Palworld: Best Partner Skills for Combat

In combat there are plenty of exciting skills you can put to good use. Many rely on a specific type combination, which shines when you can deliberately exploit a weakness. You can read more in our combat guide: (Palworld combat system explained: types, stats, attacks, weapons) . Some can also heal you or offer other support. Others will even take up arms themselves.
Jetragon: This skill only really comes into its own around level 50 — but once you get there, you’re practically unstoppable. With Jetragon you can fly and fire a rocket launcher from the air at the same time. Perfect for wide-area attacks where nothing can touch you.
Knocklem: A simple, easy-to-understand skill that boosts your attack and defence. Great as a passive buff when things get dicey.
Dazzi: With the collar at level 22 you can use this powerful ability. Dazzi fights at your side and can call down lightning bolts to strike your enemies. These bolts are incredibly strong and get even better with condensing.
Omascul: A rather odd Pal, but very handy for your team. Its skill grants you more experience points. That’s perfect if you want to level up and strengthen your other Pals, and it also pays off when training weaker or new Pals in your team.
Lyleen: Sometimes you need to fall back and regroup — that’s where Lyleen comes in. She can heal you and generally has the strongest healing spell of all Pals.
Palworld Base: Partner Skills for Farming and Production

At your base, you should also rely on a few great Pals to get the most out of your resources. Of course, there are several Pals that produce specific materials and absolutely belong on a ranch. But that’s not all — some other skills give you a boost for particular farms, which can be just as helpful.
Lullu: If you have crop fields at your base, Lullu is the perfect support for your fields’ growth. Her skill makes plants grow faster. This effect even gets stronger the more Lullus you can house at your base.
Prunelia: The perfect follow-up to Lullu. Prunelia comes into play at harvest time. She increases your fields’ yield, and this Partner Skill also stacks with each additional Prunelia.
Shroomer: Shroomer isn’t just rideable — it also has a great base skill. Thanks to its spores, your working Pals lose Sanity more slowly. They can work more efficiently without breaking down. In bases with lots of workers, several Shroomers are ideal. Use condensing to strengthen this ability.
Vixy: Vixy is one of the first Pals you’ll find in Palworld, and it remains useful right to the end of the game. On a ranch it can dig up Pal Spheres, bones, arrows, and even gold. Condense it to rank 5 to obtain higher-grade Spheres.
Braloha: If you’re producing eggs on your farm, you should also keep a Braloha at your base. It shortens the time between eggs. Unlike Lullu or Prunelia, this ability does not stack. You can find more on breeding in our guide: (Palworld Breeding Guide 2026: Breeding Farm, Egg Incubator and Cake) .
Palworld Special Pals: Unique Partner Skills

Finally, let’s look at five more Pals whose Partner Skills are unique. That’s exactly why you should use them — you never know when they’ll come in handy. It’s also worth experimenting with others to see if you can find more great skills.
Smokie: If you’re hunting for Chromium, bring Smokie. It can detect this rare resource and even gather it during combat. You’ll need Chromium to craft Hexolite, an important material for Palworld’s endgame.
Yakumo: Yakumo probably has the best Partner Skill for players chasing top-tier Pals. You can ride it, but its combat utility is even better: captured Pals have a chance to inherit Yakumo’s passive skills. This can save you hours of breeding. Give Yakumo four of the best passives to take full advantage.
Dogen: With Dogen you can teleport to your nearest base from anywhere on the map. It doesn’t work in dungeons, but otherwise it’s an indispensable ability.
Mimog: If you want to open certain treasure chests but don’t have a key, Mimog has your back. The better its Partner Skill, the higher the tier of chests it can open.
Tombat: Use Tombat when you’re searching for specific Pals. Its ultrasound can detect nearby Pals and mark them on your map, making it easier and more efficient to hunt for rares.
Conclusion: Use Partner Skills wisely and condense your Pals
Palworld offers plenty of useful Pals you can deploy for your own goals. Some are significantly better than others, so it pays to focus on them. Whether in combat, at your base, or out exploring, these fifteen Pals have your back with their Partner Skills. To make them even stronger, you should condense them and raise their skill ranks.
