Installing Darkness Falls on 7 Days to Die

Important: You need to download and install the server version of this mod!
You can find the server files on Azure or Nexusmods.

Tip: You will need to use a FTP client like Filezilla.

Create a New Configuration

We recommend creating a new configuration.
To do this, click on Create Configuration in the middle of our page under Game Servers.
Select 7 Days to Die, then do not select Experimental, and make any desired settings such as the name.
Complete the creation and start the server for the FTP to become active.

Upload the Mod

1. Download the mod and extract it.
2. Stop your server. The server status must be Server not running.
3. Connect with your FTP program to Gameserver FTP.
   You can find the login data in the FTP overview when you click on FTP.
4. Upload the Mods folder to the FTP.
5. The mod contains a serverconfig.xml. Do not upload it!
   If you want to make changes, you can do so in Advanced Mode.
6. Important: Darkness Falls comes with its own maps.
   You must set one of the available maps in serverconfig.xml.

7. Start your server.

Note: This guide can generally be applied to all mods that contain server files.
When doing so, be sure not to upload files like serverconfig.xml or serveradmin.xml.
