With a roster of now over 200 Pals, it’s no surprise a few monsters slip through the cracks. In the end, the Pals that prove useful in combat, at your base, or as mounts tend to win out. Those that don’t check those boxes are often forgotten. We already have a post on underrated Pals whose power is frequently overlooked (Palworld: 8 underrated Pals for your team and base) . Today, we’re focusing on Pals that haven’t come up in any of our guides so far—and giving them a bit more time in the spotlight.

Overview of rarely used Pals in Palworld

Palworld Sparkit: Locations, power generation, and an Electric team boost

  • Where to find: Dämmersande, Windstieghügel

You can catch Sparkit quite early, but it doesn’t necessarily stand out from other Pals in the same areas. Still, this electric mouse can be a good first source of power at your base, since Pals with Generating Electricity are hard to come by early on. With Handiwork and Transporting it can also cover other jobs. In combat, its Partner Skill is handy—especially if you’ve built an Electric-focused team—because Sparkit boosts the Attack of Electric-type Pals. In specific situations, that can be very useful.

Palworld Hoocrates: Locations, nocturnal activity, and a Shadow team buff

  • Where to find: Night only: Vergessene Insel, Bambusklamm, Windhauchinsel, Moorinsel, Windstieghügel

You’ll run into Hoocrates mostly at night during your first hours, as this Pal appears almost everywhere in the starting regions. Players tend to use it less because there are already stronger options around. The little owl with a feather cap is similar to Sparkit, but geared toward Shadow teams: it boosts the Attack of all Shadow-type Pals—one of the strongest types in the entire game. At your base, however, Hoocrates can only do Gathering, which isn’t particularly impactful.

Hoocrates and Teafant in Palworld – Shadow buff and healing

Palworld Teafant: Locations and a handy healing ability for your team

  • Where to find: Vergessene Insel, Windhauchinsel, Östliche Windinsel, Eiswindinsel

Pals don’t win prizes for being cute—but if they did, Teafant would be in the running. That alone makes it worth catching. It’s not useless, either: Teafant can heal your Pals, a rare ability that only a few Pals possess. That’s practical if you don’t want to burn through healing items. As for work, Teafant can only Water fields. It’s not really suited for combat, but as a backup for its healing, it’s worth considering.

Palworld Ribbuny: Partner Skill and faster weapon production

  • Where to find: Eiswindinsel, Östliche Windinsel, Windhauchinsel, Sakurajima

Like Teafant, Ribbuny looks firmly planted in the “cute” category—but looks deceive. Ribbuny pulls double duty. In your team it boosts the Attack of Neutral-type Pals. That’s not always directly useful, but it can noticeably support your lineup. Even better is the second part of its Partner Skill: Ribbuny is excellent at crafting weapons at a workbench or assembly line. It ramps up your production and work efficiency, churning out cool gear in no time—something you wouldn’t expect from such an adorable Pal.

Broncherry as a mount in Palworld with increased carry weight

Palworld Broncherry: Saddle, carry weight, and an early-game mount

  • Where to find: Bambusklamm

Broncherry is one of the mounts you can unlock fairly early. Its saddle appears at Level 19 in the Technologies, but it’s often overlooked due to its lack of speed—other Pals are much faster. However, Broncherry helps you haul heavy loads: thanks to its Partner Skill, your maximum carry weight increases. Your capacity goes up by +100, which can be very handy. And the higher its star level, the better it gets. Use Broncherry when you need to lug heavy items or gather lots of materials.

Palworld Prixter: Find dungeon exits and excel at base work

  • Where to find: Sakurajima (Nördliche Steinfelder)

Prixter isn’t half bad in combat—its Shadow and Ground combo is solid, and it learns strong moves for versatile use. But the real draw is its Partner Skill: it senses air vibrations to help you locate the exit in a dungeon—great for players who get turned around. At your base, Prixter keeps pace with strong workers too, notably with Lumbering Lvl. 3. And as a Shadow type, it’s nocturnal, which is another plus.

Palumba in Palworld with high riding speed and base skills

Palworld Palumba: Mount saddle, speed, and a base helper

  • Where to find: Oaseninsel, Ewig-Sommerinsel

Palumba stands out immediately thanks to its unique look. It’s also very rare—you’ll only find it on specific islands, and only in small groups. Palumba is useful for two reasons. First, its Partner Skill lets you ride faster over grass with Palumba. You can only unlock the saddle at Level 42, but with a max-condensed Pal you can hit up to +240% speed. Second, Palumba is a practical base helper: it has Mining Lvl. 3, and Gathering and Planting at Lvl. 2.

Palworld Nyafia: Late-game weapon and versatile base skills

  • Where to find: Feybreak (Versengter Hügel)

If you’re looking for a unique Pal for your team, Nyafia might be the one. You’ll find it more in the late game on Feybreak. Its weapon, the Nyafia Shotgun, only unlocks at Level 53. Once you have it, Nyafia can really turn up the heat and fight by your side. At the base, Nyafia also holds its own with Handiwork Lvl. 3, plus Gathering, Lumbering, and Transporting at Lvl. 2—a flexible Pal for the later stages of the game.

Conclusion: These rarely used Palworld Pals are still practical

Palworld offers a varied and diverse pool of Pals, and you don’t always have to rely on the creatures everyone else uses. Often, great options hide among those few people know—or have already forgotten. If you’re not laser-focused on maximum efficiency, it’s worth trying out different Pals and their unique abilities.
