To send your Pals on expeditions, you need two prerequisites. First, unlock the Expedition Center at Tech Level 15 with two points and then build it in one of your bases. Second, you must have defeated at least the first Tower Boss (Palworld Tower Bosses: All 7 fights with levels, locations, and tips) . The more you defeat, the more expeditions you unlock. They’re split into Normal and Hard, for a total of 14 different expeditions.
In the Expedition Center, the first screen lets you choose which adventure to send your Pals on. You’ll see the key info right away: duration, recommended combat power, overall risk, and the required element for part of the team you send. Potential rewards are also listed, though they’re not guaranteed.
Once you’ve picked an expedition, the next screen lets you send the Pals of your choice. Pay attention to the requirements and recommendations, especially combat power and the element prerequisites. You must always include at least 20 of the up to 100 Pals you send as a specific required type to embark. Based on your chosen Pals, the exact duration and rewards are calculated and scale with combat power. The stronger your Pals, the more items you’ll get. Currently, you can boost rewards by up to 1348%.
In general, aim to catch strong Pals, condense them, and bring them to one or two stars for more power. Later you can specialize your expedition teams and catch Pals specifically for this purpose. Use Pal Souls, Trust, and other mechanics to push your Pals to the highest level. Besides specific elements, Frostallion Noct is the best Pal for the highest combat power.
All Palworld Expeditions: Rewards and Best Pals
Since there are seven Tower Bosses, you can unlock 14 expeditions across both difficulties. You don’t have to complete them in a set order—unlock them based on your own strength. It can be worth attempting some of the harder bosses earlier to access better rewards. While normal expeditions offer mixed rewards, the hard versions focus on specific items.
Normal Palworld Expeditions: Requirements, Drops, and Recommended Pals
Grassland Cave (Zoe and Grizzbolt): The first expedition you typically unlock. Not the most profitable, but you can get Ore, Basic Pal Spheres, Meat, and even Ancient Parts. Since there are no element requirements, you can use any Pals. We recommend Vanwyrm.
Forest Hideout (Lily and Lyleen): You must bring 15 Grass-type Pals. We recommend Lyleen, Wumpo Botan, and Brahola. Rewards are mixed but better than the first expedition.
Searing Volcano Cave (Axel and Orserk): Another reward upgrade, with Ultra Spheres, Large Pal Souls, and Bellanoir stone shards. Use Fire-type Pals like Blazamut, Suzaku, and Ragnahawk.
Hidden Desert Ruins (Marcus and Faleris): Anubis, Knocklem, and Warsect Terra shine here. Rewards are a step up from the Searing Volcano Cave, with higher yields.
Icy Snowpeak Cave (Victor and Shadowbeak): Rewards scale further, now including Ancient Cores, Pure Quartz, and even Legendary Spheres. Top Ice-type Pals here are Frostallion, Bastigor, and Wumpo.
Spectral Cherry Blossom Cave (Saya and Selyne): In addition to earlier items, you can get Crude Oil, Mega Souls, and more raid shards. Requires Water-type Pals—use Neptilius, Jormuntide, and Suzaku Aqua.
Cursed Feybreak Cave (Bjorn and Bastigor): The final normal expedition offers the best items: Exotic Spheres, Chromite, more raid shards, and the best Pal Meat. Dark-type Pals are ideal—especially Frostallion Noct, Necromus, and Shadowbeak.

Ancient Ruins of the Feybreak (Bjorn and Bastigor, Hard): Great for farming Ancient Parts and raid shards. Once again, rely on your strongest Dark-type Pals.
