How can I install Mods on my Hytale Server

Do you want to use Mods on your Hytale-Server?
We explain how you can easily upload Mods to your Server.

Important:
You must use a FTP Client such as Filezilla or WinSCP.

Please download the Client here
- WinSCP: https://winscp.net/

Upload Mods

Important:
Your Mods must be provided as .jar files.
Otherwise, they cannot be used on the Server.
  1. Start your Server if it is not already running.
    This will also start the required Gameserver FTP for your Server.
  2. Stop your Server.
  3. Connect with your FTP Client to the Gameserver FTP.
    You can find the necessary login details in the server settings under FTP.
  4. Upload your Mods to the following directory:
    hytale-data/Server/mods
  5. Start your Server.

Experimental Mods

There are Mods that require an additional Server setting:
--accept-early-plugins
To use these, proceed as follows:

  1. Stop your Server
  2. Activate the Plugins setting:
    • In Basic Mode, you can find the setting under Server Settings
    • In Advanced Mode under Commandline
  3. Click on Save
  4. Start your Server
