While Palworld doesn’t have a strict, linear story, it does offer several important milestones to tackle. Among the most notable are the Syndicate Towers scattered across the map. You won’t miss them while exploring, but whether you should engage depends on your level. There are currently seven towers with tough boss fights that require solid preparation. The further you progress, the more of them you can defeat. Afterward, you can re-challenge them in Hard Mode if you’re looking for a serious test. Below, we cover every boss—when to fight them, where to find them, and how to win.

Beat tower boss Zoe and Grizzbolt

Palworld tower boss Zoe and Grizzbolt in the Windswept Hills arena fight
  • Location: Windswept Hills
  • Level: 15
  • Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)

Zoe and her Grizzbolt are likely your first tower challenge. She’s level 15, so we recommend you at least match that level and train your Pals accordingly. If you go down, you can always retry.

Because Grizzbolt is Electric type, prioritize Ground-type Pals. Look for Partner Skills and passives that boost Ground attacks to maximize your damage. For yourself, unlock the Crossbow (Level 13). Have at least the first Shield (Level 4) unlocked. Use the arena to your advantage and break line of sight by taking cover behind the pillars.

Recommended Pals:

  • Gumoss
  • Direhowl
  • Rushoar
  • Fuddler
  • Foxparks

Counter tower boss Lily and Lyleen

Palworld boss fight against Lily and Lyleen in the Frostbound Mountains with Fire-type Pals
  • Location: Frostbound Mountains
  • Level: 25
  • Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)

Next up around level 25 is Lily. Fire-type Pals are excellent here to turn up the heat on Lyleen. Be aware that Lyleen can use some Water attacks—dodge well with your Pals. On your side, unlock the Old Handgun (Level 24) for stronger ranged options. Metal Armor (Level 23), Metal Helmet (Level 23), and the Mega Shield (Level 16) are also ideal.

Recommended Pals:

  • Wixen
  • Rooby
  • Foxparks
  • Vanwyrm
  • Kelpsea Ignis

Tower boss Axel and Orserk: Beating Dragon + Electric

Palworld boss Axel with Orserk at Mount Obsidian, recommended Ice and Ground Pals
  • Location: Mount Obsidian
  • Level: 40
  • Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)

You’ll have about 15 levels to prep for Axel at Mount Obsidian, and the fight is tougher. Orserk is Dragon/Electric, so it doesn’t fold to a single element. Ice- and Ground-type Pals work well. At this stage, broaden your progression: fight Alpha Pals, condense Pals, breed, and otherwise power them up.

Your gear should include the Giga Shield, High-Quality Metal Armor, a Helmet, and stronger firearms such as the Submachine Gun and Double-Barrel Shotgun. You can unlock all of this by Level 40. Still struggling? Push to level 46 and bring upgraded equipment.

Recommended Pals:

  • Dumud
  • Foxicle
  • Anubis
  • Wumpo
  • Gorirat Terra

Tower boss Marcus and Faleris: Counter Fire with Water

Palworld fight against Marcus and Faleris in the Desiccated Dunes, Water Pals as counters
  • Location: Desiccated Dunes
  • Level: 45
  • Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)

Soon after, you can face Marcus and his Faleris, a Fire-type Pal. Water is your best answer here. All earlier tips still apply, and we additionally recommend suitable accessories. Learn more in our guide: (Palworld accessories: The best items and how to unlock more slots) .

Level yourself to at least 46 and upgrade to Pal Metal Armor and Pal Metal Helmet, the Terra Shield, and the Assault Rifle.

Recommended Pals:

  • Kelpsea
  • Suzaku Aqua
  • Azurobe
  • Penking
  • Jormuntide

Tower boss Victor and Shadowbeak: Countering Dark

Palworld boss Victor with Shadowbeak in the Astral Mountains, Dragon Pals as counters
  • Location: Astral Mountains
  • Level: 50
  • Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)

From here on, it’s all about using the right Pals and scaling up. Shadowbeak is Dark-type, so Dragon-type Pals are your best bet. Condense Pals, teach them the right moves, and aim for strong passives.

Raise your tech level to 50 and upgrade your kit to Cold-Resistant Pal Metal Armor, plus weapons like the Semi-Auto Shotgun and the Rocket Launcher for big burst damage.

Recommended Pals:

  • Gilet
  • Quivern
  • Astegon
  • Xenogard
  • Orserk

Tower boss Saya and Selyne: Beating Dark + Neutral

Palworld boss Saya with Selyne on Sakurajima, recommended Dragon Pals
  • Location: Sakurajima
  • Level: 55
  • Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)

This encounter builds neatly on the previous one. Selyne is Dark + Neutral, so Dragon-type Pals remain highly effective.

We suggest training to level 55. That unlocks the Ultra Shield, Light Plasteel Armor, and the Rocket Launcher. Utility items like Double-Jump Boots also help you dodge more consistently.

Recommended Pals:

  • Jetdragon
  • Gilet
  • Quivern
  • Vanwyrm Cryst
  • Xenolord

Tower boss Bjorn and Bastigor: Beat Ice with Fire

Palworld boss Bjorn with Bastigor on Feybreak Island, strong Fire Pals recommended
  • Location: Feybreak Island
  • Level: 60
  • Reward: 5 Ancient Technology Points + EXP + fast travel point (+1 Technology Point)

The final tower boss currently available is Bjorn with his Bastigor, an Ice-type Pal. Seek out your strongest Fire-type Pals and train them hard. Watch out—Bastigor can also use several Water attacks.

You should reach at least level 60 to unlock Light Hexolite Armor and the Hexolite Helmet, the Sci‑Fi Shield, and the Plasma Cannon. Hitting the current max level 65 also grants the Plasma Rifle, Overheating Rifle, and Tesla Rifle. Helpful, but not strictly required.

Recommended Pals:

  • Jormuntide Ignis
  • Ghangler Ignis
  • Blazamut Ryu
  • Bushi (Noct)
  • Vanwyrm

Conclusion: All Palworld tower bosses and Hard Mode

If you want a steadily increasing challenge, take on the Syndicate Towers across Palpagos Island. They’re designed to test your limits. Beat them on Normal first to unlock Hard Mode afterward. Use type advantages, stay mobile, and train your Pals for each upcoming fight.

In multiplayer, you can tackle these bosses with friends, so we highly recommend one of our Palworld servers. Teaming up boosts your odds of victory and lets you fight side by side.
