Protection against DoS (Denial of Service) or DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks has become increasingly important in recent years. The aim of these attacks is to disrupt server operation by overloading the server or even the entire infrastructure. As a result, the Teamspeak server or game server is no longer accessible, the connection quality suffers or the connection breaks down completely.

Many hosters in the gaming environment then switch off the affected server. Not so with 4Netplayers!
In several stages the attacks (bad traffic) are filtered out by the regular data traffic (good traffic). This happens without any loss of latency (ping), so that normal gaming is possible even under attack conditions.

The heart of our DDoS protection is the Corero Smartwall. This anti-DDoS solution was created for hosting providers and data center operators. In contrast to many products on the market, Corero can handle UDP-based traffic very well. The Corero Smartwall analyses each incoming packet and then decides whether or not to forward it. The patented DDoS defense algorithm generates filter rules in real-time and adapts them to the appropriate attack. This enables the Smartwall to react to attacks that are not yet known.
